Some of my best girls and I were talking about how much we love “favorite things” posts, and of course that lead to, “Let’s do a favorite things post” in the convo. See how we work? We’re complex. Click around to see what everyone’s favorites are! Meanwhile, here are mine…

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Thanks a lot, world. How come no one ever told me how incredible this stuff is? It took me a while to get on the “buy makeup that’s supposed to be on adult faces” bandwagon, but this stuff? LOVE. I am not joking when I say I got compliments on my makeup the day I started wearing it. It just makes such a difference in how your shadow looks and stays for the day. Swear by it. (I found mine at Ulta.)
Speaking of Urban Decay…I’m not a fan of wearing a lot of makeup, so the glittered eye shadow just isn’t for me. When I saw their Naked Basics palette, I knew it was the start of a great relationship. I absolutely love it.
I live in Michigan. You know I’m a boots girl. I wear them from September to April (May and June if you include my Hunter boots), so I’m always on the lookout for my favorites. I may have found them. While I love the look of boots, they’re not always comfortable. These are the ones I choose to run errands in. Good stuff.
Oh Mylanta. I’ve never wanted a series of books to keep going so badly. I am an extremely picky reader—nothing keeps my attention long enough—but this series was finished in a matter of days for me. Divergent has what Hunger Games lacked for me—romance. And a hot male lead. Sorry, Peeta lovers.
So this isn’t technically something for me, but it’s one of my favorite purchases. Michigan, remember? Lots of hard winters here. I’ve been back and forth between Lands End and The North Face for my daughter’s coats, and this is such a favorite. It’s warm, thin, colorful, and the arms can be extended as she grows. It’s money so well spent. A bonus? Lands End customer service is top-notch. I’ve always been pleased with them. (They are out of this color in older girl sizes.)
Two reasons I’m loving Old Navy right now. 1. These cowl neck sweaters. I love them so much, I bought them in both colors. I think they fit much better than on the models, and they keep me toasty warm at work where I’m generally cold. They pair well with pants and jeans. 2. They have a tall section that makes me giddy. It’s difficult to find sleeves that are long enough for me (let alone pants!), and they have extended size shirts. Score!
Let’s be honest here. 41 is a bit obnoxious to be wearing printed leggings, but they are so darn comfortable! I wear taller boots, a longer sweater, and I only wear them at night. No joke. I feel silly when I wear them, but I promise I get compliments every single time. What do I know? These are the two I have, and I found them at Sassy Steals.
If you look at my favorite things from 2013, you’ll see items that I loved then and still love now. So what am I missing? Got a favorite thing you’d like to share? Let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for something new to fall in love with!
***Assuming I did this right (doubt it), there are some affiliate links in places throughout the post. Just sayin’.
I totally agree with you about the Urban Decay primer potion – life changing! I have oily eyelids and this is the only stuff that keeps my eyeliner in place all day. Could not live without it! A little pricey, but a tube will last me a whole year.
I LOVE this! Thanks for giving me another reason to shop! 🙂
