When cancer decided to visit my life and wreak total havoc on it, I found entertainment in even the smallest things that could bring me normalcy. I didn’t step into a single store for almost 8 months. 8. Let us have a moment of silence for those 8 months.
{Insert Silence Here}
I’ve never told her this, but Rhoda (Southern Hospitality) did a couple of posts where she went shopping to some antique stores, and I was thrilled! I got to look at items and feel like I was out and about too. Thank you, friend. 🙂
Soooo long story long, I’ve decided to do a shopping series where I virtually take you with me. My mom is now pretty much home-bound with an impaired back. I take her shopping with me by sending her texts of things I think she’d like. Well now she’ll get the whole store. Ready to shop? Let’s go!
Oh and don’t worry—I’ll stay quiet through most of your shopping experience.
My favorite section.
I’ve decided these are genius. Casserole dishes with lids that also serve as trivets. Christmas list addition.
Anyone else obsessed with white dishes and natural accents?
Again–Christmas list.
I hope you had some fun. Clearly, I took some notes for personal items I’m looking at. More than anything, if you love shopping as much as I do, you just came along for the ride! Fun, eh?
Oh that was just awesome! Today my 9 year old is home sick from school and my 2 3/4 year old is acting like the toddler he is, there is no way I could get away to shop anytime soon. Yet I feel now like I had a mini rest/shopping therapy trip. I even saw some things I wanted! Thanks for sharing!
Best idea ever! After doing everything I HAVE to do most days, I’m far too lazy to actually go out shopping – thanks for doing the heavy lifting for me, and saving me some $$!!
Hi Chris! I have missed the frequency of your posts. I am happy to know you are well. Love the virtual shopping. Those wooden cake stands are A-MAZING. Thanks for bringing us along:)
