Remember Me?

December 5, 2009 by Chris

Apparently, having no power for a couple of days really puts a damper on your blogging.  And your showering at home.  Rough week, to say the least.  After staring at a blank tree for 5 days, we finally finished it!

IMG_8581-1

Speaking of “snow”, this is what we woke up to this morning.  Yes, that’s 10 inches of it.  Overnight. That meant snow day for me!

IMG_8564

When I got the call at 5:22 this morning, I felt:

IMG_8588

Not only does my tree speak to me, but it speaks for me.  Now if only I could get it to do some laundry…

IMG_8577

Oh sure, it’s pretty to look at.  Just wait until you have to go to the grocery store.  Not so fun at that point.

Hope you’re having some better weather than we are!

How beautiful! We are suppose to get a "dusting" of snow overnight, but it will not be as beautiful as yours is. Your tree is gorgeous. Hope you have a great weekend!

Wish we could get some snow here in South Carolina! Oh, it's happened before, but more like a dusting.:)
Glad you're back blogging. Hope you have a good weekend.

The San Francisco area is a bit cool but no snow, of course. Your pictures are spectacular. I am glad I am not living in that, though. I cannot imagine trying to get out and about in that kind of weather…I remember what it's like, though. I did live in the Boston area for about six years, some 40 years ago. It was spectacular in the spring and fall but winters, ohhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Beautiful tree! Beautiful snow! I miss snow, but only the beauty and the way it muffles the world. Not the cleaning up or driving in or mess everywhere or, ect. We didn't have much better weather here, but it wasn't 10 inches! The weird part?? I live in Louisiana!! Glad you stayed warm without power!!

Your tree is gorgeous and I oh-so-do-NOT miss Michigan winters one bit! Granted I haven't experienced one since the age of 11 but I think they scarred me for life. Glad you at least got a snow day and a talking tree out of the deal :). BTW- I've missed you and I'm glad you're back!

A snow day is one of the very best perks of being a teacher! I know that you really, really enjoyed having some time at home. Your snow pictures sure are pretty! We almost always get at least one snow day or two hour late day before Christmas around here. I'm waiting for mine!

Your tree is beautiful! I used burlap cut strips as garland on mine this year and LOVE it! The snow is GORGEOUS! Though we rarely see any here in Georgia. Days without power I can do without! There are a few flakes falling this morning. Won't amount to much here though.

I live in the Humid South. And I posted a picture a few days ago of my Gerbera Daisies. They are totally confused and blooming profusely at this point.

A little time in the snow would be so nice. Notice I said 'a little'. I'm still a Southerner and can only take snow for a day or two before I get restless.

    Your tree is gorgeous.

Well… I won't tell you how happy I am that it has been "wintery" here for me at 65 degrees and foggy. I remember when I lived in CO when we would have snow days. YES, JOY! I did a dance,I was so excited and I was the teacher not a student. Love the burlap on the tree. A winter wonderland. So glad you got power back. Makes it much more fun, huh?
