If this isn’t cozy, I don’t know what is…

November 2, 2009 by Chris

Well, the Halloween decor is coming down, and I’m moving onto another holiday.  I can only imagine what I was looking for when I found Aunt Ruthie’s site tonight, but I am sooo glad I did.

Her house is the epitome of cozy and warm and inviting, and I knew I had to share it with you. She’s got a pretty substantial following, so who knows what rock I’ve been hiding under!

Yes.  That’s her kitchen.  Yes. That’s her view from her sink.

She has windows.  In her house.  With shutters.  Love…

Oh sure.  There’s a million and one things I could have said.  The pictures spoke for themselves.  Well, now I’m off to re-evaluate the way I decorate for fall.

I found her blog in January and was smitten with her home and the wonderful way she decorates it. Not only is her home beautiful but she is even more beautiful on the inside than on the outside (if that is possible, she is gorgeous.)
Every time I read one of her posts it makes me want to be a better person, she is truly inspirational.

I could just sit and curl up in her house all day. Give me a magazine, some hot chocolate and I'll promise I'll be quiet, she won't even know I'm there!

My house is looking very naked and inadequate after that!

It's less about decorating, and more about how to be a happy homemaker and how to make your home feel like a haven for your family. A great Christian wife and mother, she is! I want to be Aunt Ruthie when I grow up! 🙂

This sort of posts makes me want me to open my house up to anyone who believes they are talented and just let them decorate as they wish… just to see what they would come up with. Because if I attempted something like this, my husband would call it cluttered. 🙁

    This is just STUNNING! Dreamy…
