Ever read one of those blogs, and you realize that everything is just so pretty. The writer is pretty, the blog is pretty, the blogger’s house is pretty? You get the point? When I need some fresh eye candy, Chelsea is sure to come through for me! I love reading her blog, and I know you will too!
Hey, JaG readers!
I’m Chelsea from Two Twenty One, where I blog about budget-friendly DIY projects, furniture makeovers, crafts, recipes, home & seasonal decor ideas, and gardening.
I thought I’d swing by and share a little bit about myself and the little corner of the Internet I occupy while Chris is getting back into the swing of things.
Why don’t we start in my living room? Take a seat. Make yourself comfortable. Sip on a cocktail.
About a year ago I found a $50 dresser for sale on Craigslist. I dragged my husband into a not-so-nice neighborhood to buy the dresser from a man with a home monitoring device on his ankle. (Seriously, I can’t make this stuff up.) I brought the dresser home and turned it into a TV stand. But wait a second, my Craigslist adventures don’t end there. Last August, after searching for months, I found a card catalog on CL for $85, but it was missing one drawer. I bought it anyway– from a man who lived in an old church, pews and all. A couple weeks later the CL gods shined down on me, and I scored a drawer, and them some.
The back tab curtains in our living room were sewn by my mom and me. I like to put her to work when she comes to visit. And the picture ledges and frames above our love seat are a little touch I added to personalize our living room.
I share a good amount of other random things on my blog as well, like smaller DIY projects and crafts, recipes, and my adventures in gardening and landscaping (aka not killing vegetation).
gold striped vase, strawberry pie, personalized lucite tray, super soft chocolate chip cookies, growing succulents
I hope you’ll stop by Two Twenty One and say hi! Thanks so much for having me, Chris. I can’t wait to see the photos from your trip!
