I was recently asked to “pay it forward” to people I might not usually purchase a gift for. Homegoods/TJMaxx/Marshalls are my favorite stores, so when they asked me to shop at their stores, it was an easy decision.
Another easy decision was deciding who to purchase gifts for. I tried to choose items that truly captured my recipients’ character and spirit. My first stop was TJMaxx…My aunt recently lost her husband and moved back home to be with family. It was such a great decision for the rest of the family (we missed her horribly), but I know she gets lonely and misses the life she had.
If there’s anyone who can “embrace the quiet”, it’s her. She appreciates every moment, and I thought this beautiful Noel teacup with some Christmas tea would be just the thing to reflect her appreciation of just being still and taking in her surroundings.
My grandmother is one of those people who just doesn’t need anything. However, she deserves to open presents too, right? I wanted something shiny, sparkly, and beautiful for her to open. Because she’s shiny, sparkly, and beautiful too! Since she’s older and more forgetful, I purchased this and a battery operated candle at Marshalls to put inside. This way, she won’t accidentally forget about the candle, and she can enjoy it without worry.
And finally, my girlfriend is a single mom who never buys anything for herself. I have some white bowls that are similar to these, and she just loves them. Do you think Santa placed them in Homegoods just so I could find them for her? Perhaps. Regardless, she’s going to love them, and that’s what matters!
I could seriously do 90% of my Christmas shopping at Homegoods, Marshalls, and TJMaxx. They have such a variation of items that I never struggle to find something special for that someone special. And because they are so cool (and generous!), Homegoods/Marshalls/TJMaxx is offering a $100 gift card to one lucky winner!
