Soooo I’ve been to Europe a few times now, and I always forget to share my experiences with you. So far, “we’ve” visited Austria and Munich. International travel can seem unattainable (or undesirable?) to many, so how about I bring the travel to you? You can virtually visit a bunch of places and not even leave your couch!
Paris is one of those places that just can’t be described in a few pictures. This is a multi-post place. We all know the Eiffel tower is the big dog here, but I’ll save her for last. The Palace of Versailles was a hit for me. It was ten times more beautiful and elaborate than I could have imagined, so you can appreciate that these pictures just won’t do it justice.
The exterior was as grand as you’d expect it to be. But the gold? That was incredible.
Of course, the inside didn’t disappoint. I spared you all the artwork pictures, but you can imagine they were amazing.
My favorite? The Hall of Mirrors. I’ve seen it in movies and tv shows, so I was excited to see if it was as beautiful in person. Uh yeah.
Oh just the king’s chambers.
And the queen’s. Marie Antoinette. This was just too cool.
Sorry for the bad signage. It was difficult to get a picture with all the people moving through.
And finally, the “backyard”. It was a cloudy day, and they were doing some repair work, but it was breathtaking.
If you ever have the pleasure of traveling to Paris, I beg of you to take include it in your stay. I know I’m going on about the scenery, but the history of it is beyond interesting! And it’ll make you want to watch every movie you can find on French history.
