I’ve called in sick three days this week (the most since maternity leave), been through 4 whole boxes of tissue, and downed an entire package of Nyquil. However, I’m to the point where I don’t think I’m going to die anymore. That’s a bonus.
I easily could have skipped SaS Day this week (‘cause I know you would understand), but I have the mother of all giveaways for you. I just couldn’t let it go.
Casey Childs contacted me recently and asked if my readers would be interested in a commissioned piece of original artwork. Hello! I don’t have a commissioned piece of anything! You send him the picture, and he sketches it for you. By hand. No machinery here, folks.
“Spud” (below) is my absolute favorite. I love how he captured so many of the details from the original photograph—including the smirk/not quite a smile that he’s giving.
You readers love your dogs! Given my relationship with the Nemesis, I don’t know that I would have him sketched, but you just can’t beat the quality of this piece. I like it better than the photograph!
There’s obviously no denying that Casey is a talented artist, and I am so happy that he’s giving an original piece of art (an $875 value!!) to you.
Right now, Casey is running a special promotion on his site. It ends Monday, so you don’t want to wait. You can purchase an original 11×14 piece of framed art for only $249 ($275 internationally). In addition, Just a Girl readers will receive another 5% off! Shut the front door. Seriously. Shut it. Enter code “JUSTAGIRL” for your extra discount.
Alright…how do you win?

Great giveaway I would love to have my dog sketched!
I have had my horse for 20 years, since he was 6 and fresh off the track and I was a new college grad. He retired 3 years ago and I miss riding him so much… but still enjoy going ot see him and feeding him carrot muffins for his birthday or our ‘anniversary’. To have a portrait of him would be awesome!

To enter the giveaway (after linking up) I left a comment on Limited Sketch’s site telling him I would love to win a sketch for my son’s birthmom 🙂 Fingers crossed!!!
