R.I.P. Halloween

November 2, 2008 by Chris

Well, it’s over. Thanks to blogging, I had to go out and purchase two more Halloween bins to store all my new goodies in. However, when I got into my car, my favorite radio station was playing Christmas music! Poor Thanksgiving. It’s the little holiday that could…

Back to Halloween. My precious little, dimple-faced 6-year old went from this…

to this…

And my handsome little, do-good, 9-year old went from this…

to this!

What happened to the days of princess and superhero costumes? Where are my little lady bug and Peter Pan? Memories…(sing like Barbara Streisand, of course).

Once we got everyone around, filled our travel mugs with coffee, and harnessed the nemesis, this is the best picture I could get. They were RUNNING non-stop. (Notice which way Maximus is facing. Dummy.)

By the time all was said and done, my little witch was tired and wanted to go to bed was checking to see how much candy we had left in the bowl on our porch!
Up next…Thanksgiving–if the Christmas bug doesn’t bite me first!

I laughed at your post title!! I was beyond ready for Halloween to be over with. Which is too bad seeing as it is also little Miss Addison’s birthday. 🙁

I have to say I am looking forward to all the christmas decor. I don’t have much in the way of Thanksgiving stuff, so the pumpkins will have to stay up until the Holiay that could is over. 😉

Cute photos of your kiddies. My youngest son wanted the costume your son had but we waited to long to get to the store. Ooops.

Love the photo of your house. Such a beautiful photo. Love the outdoor lights shining upon your home.

Thanks for always cracking us up with your posts! 🙂 It is kind of sad when your kids start picking their own costumes out isn’t it? They’re not so cutesy anymore. Either way they’re cute, but you know what I mean. Love your house, it’s adorable!
I’m actually looking forward to the Christmas decorations going up. But I definitely still need more time for my shopping!

She must be Glenda the good witch in black rather than pink because she looks too cute to be a bad witch! The picture of your house is beautifully lit!

I love Christmas decor! I like you, had to add a couple more totes to my halloween decor storage. I also tend to do this every year with my christmas decor. I have a new rule-I can’t add anything without throwing something out. Just so you know, I say that, not do it.
Your pics of your kids are cute. The outfit your little girl had one before the transformation-oh my heck it was darling! Where does one find such cute things?
Make sure you share pics of the thanks decor.

For us in Canada, Thanksgiving is over already and we can swing right into the Christmas mode ASAP! I’ve got my tree decor planned and am putting all the Halloween stuff away this week (I promise!) and after the November long weekend (Veteran’s Day here) it will all get set up! A good long time to enjoy the festive fun!
