How many recipe pins would you say you’ve saved on Pinterest? 10, 20…dozen? Does this sound familiar? “Ooh that looks good! And so easy! Even I could make that! I mean, I won’t…but I could.“I don’t know what’s gotten into me, exactly, but I’ve been putting some recipes to task lately. I thought I’d do a little “consumer report” if you will. Basically, it’s my way of validating my recipe obsession. It’s solely to make myself feel better.
I should clarify that I have a slight love affair with rice. That being said, I know it’s not the best thing I should eat 24-hours a day. I’ve started making this cauliflower rice. I’ll say this–it’s not rice. But I can see why it’s so popular. *Side note: try not to mind the smell.
Something I don’t like? Asparagus. My husband keeps thinking I’ll like it and asks me to try it every time he gets it. That’s a no. Still can’t stand it. I’m including this sauteed asparagus recipe, however, because it was a hit with my asparagus-loving husband! I made it for Easter, and it went over very well. Two thumbs up for being easy, having a pretty presentation, and an easy cleanup!
Okay. Going back to my passion for rice….I made this honey soy chicken, and it was divine! I served it over rice, and poured some of the marinade/sauce over for more flavor. It was an easy hit for the family. Highly recommend.
This recipe for ham and cheese sliders is quite popular on Pinterest, so I imagine the variations are pretty similar. I made this recipe for a party, and they vanished. Everyone was asking for the recipe, so I think that means they tasted really good.
And finally, these slow cooker pork chops have become a weeknight staple for us. They are incredibly easy, filling, and fall-apart-tender. SO good.
The Pinterest madness doesn’t stop there, folks! I also have a list of desserts that I’ve tried (duh), so I’ll be back with those reviews as well. Hopefully, you’ll try some of these and enjoy them as much as I did!
