Mexico: What I Wore

April 18, 2018 by Chris

Mexico Rule #1: Do NOT overpack. Your wardrobe will be comprised of mostly swimsuits and cover-ups.

Mexico Rule #2: Immediately regret that you didn’t abide by rule #1.

But…here’s what I did wear.

Sundresses

This green maxi dress was by far my favorite. Hands down the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn. So much so that I plan on buying more in other colors! For reference, I am 5’9″, and this came all the way to the ground for me. #thankyoubabyjesus

Another favorite is this palm beach dress. I was worried that it would be see through, but it has a liner. Yay! It is SO comfortable!

I purchased a Large, and it was too big for me. Just an FYI when ordering.

And because I’m obsessed with maxis, this blue maxi dress is another favorite. It has pockets. Winner!

Cover-ups

Outside of actual clothes, I wore a lottttt of poolside wear. I received so many compliments on this cover-up! Again, I ordered a large, and it was too big. Bummer. I love it so much, I think I’ll just buy a second one in my size.

I found a similar cover up at Marshall’s, so this isn’t exactly it. Cute though! And you can see that I have a similar cover up in blue that I actually found at WalMart (no link). I love this so much that I’ll probably buy a second one of it too!

Swimsuits

This Jantzen tankini was so nice. Mine is a beautiful wine color. Both flattering and comfortable! However, it did leave a complicated tan line. 🙂

The rest of my suits were from Target. I went with tankini mix and match, so it was an easy way to freshen up the look each day. AND very comfortable! {Click on the pic below to go to the site.}

Hats

And finally what I wore for pure survival. The Mexican sun does not let up (yay!), so you really need some extra protection if you spend the day out there. I don’t have links for them, but I found these at Target, WalMart, and Kohls respectively.

Sorry–IG pic. Didn’t have an original!

Whew! That’s a lotta clothes right there, eh? If nothing else, take my advice–don’t over pack. Remember rule #1. 🙂
