Well hello, strangers. I hear ya. I’ve been a sporadic blogger, and it’s not my favorite. Believe me. Unfortunately, working full-time and blogging full-time requires a lot more energy than I remember, and it’s proving quite difficult for me. My focus is to get through the work day and hopefully get some dinner on the table for my family. After that…it’s a crap shoot. Sorry about that. I imagine it’ll get better. I think.
For now, my monthly challenge for Lowe’s was to get something “holiday ready” around the house. See this drawer? Not holiday ready.
This drawer? Holiday ready.
Allow myself to explain…myself. Holiday preparation around here means fighting off germs, taking pictures, wrapping presents, and opening presents. With those preparations in mind, I imagine the drawer makes a little more sense.
In all honesty, this was about the batteries. One of the most common question around here is, “Anyone know if we have more batteries?” I used to keep them in a container—which was fine—but I never kept track of which ones we were running low on. I’m a visual person. What can I say? This helps me a ton. And considering all the electronics/toys we tend to get at Christmas, these will come in quite handy.
Organizing make me happy and you are surely holiday ready my friend. xo
I think this is a GREAT IDEA for batteries. I too keep them in a plastic bag. Just filled with all different kinds. This is a fabulous way of keeping up with which ones you are low on!
You are doing fine as a blogger. Mine has been debunked for about 2 years now!! I’ve been battling breast cancer. I finished 9 chemo treatments in Feb of this year. All cancer was gone (well I have HER2 & ER, PR +which means it’s in my bloodstream-so I’ll be managing it the rest of my life-but as of now-the PET shows I’m clean!) and I just haven’t had the energy it takes to do posts. I’m mostly a FB and IG poster now! I know you know all about this with your ovarian cancer-I’m so glad you are healthy & well!!!
I love the way you’ve organized your batteries but also thought it might be wise for your readers to understand about battery storage. I just happened to see this on the news the other night and it was eye-opening to say the least. Here’s the URL: http://www.kctv5.com/story/24594124/kctv5-exposes-the-9-volt-battery-fire-danger.
