Nope. You didn’t miss this post. It’s late. I’m actually showing my Christmas decorations after Christmas. I’ve been blogging for years, and these are the moments when I question my skills. And technically, I don’t know if it’s really a tour. More like “random pictures of places I Christmas-fied things” tour.
I went with fresh garland on the stairs this year, and man do I love it! It was a lot easier than past years’ Christmas garlands, but probably not the most cost-effective. I bought this for $11 though, so that’s not horrible.
I’ve had some people ask how I attach it to the stairs. In the past, I have used satin ribbon to tie them on, but this year, I just used some green twine. It works perfectly, and the garland hides it well enough.
So, enough of the yammering. Here’s the living room.
The tree has no star. It is sitting on the table next to the tree. My husband decided it was too time-consuming to put it on the tree. The end.
The star.
I found this cheap little wreath at a local garden store, but it was ugly. So I added some clippings from the stairwell garland.
I had two huge poinsettias here, but I burned the other one up. They don’t like direct fire apparently. Duh. Sensitive little sucker.
Not the fanciest or most timely Christmas house tour, but I did tell you I’d have one. No one can call me a liar! Procrastinator, yes. But liar I am not. (Yoda speak)
What’s that? You wanna see tours of Christmas past? Ok. Here you go.
