Christmas Home Tour {Part 2}

December 12, 2013 by Chris

Hello hello! What’s that? You want to see MORE Christmas house tour? I’m pretty sure that’s not what you said, but I’m joining Lindsay’s house tour today. She has a lineup of fanTAStic bloggers sharing their homes, so I am happy to join. Bloggers and tours. We like ’em, eh?

BSHT Christmas Graphic copy

I showed most of the house tour the other day, but there were still a few spaces that hadn’t been “spruced”. And then there’s the outside! Gees. Slow your roll, JaG. Here’s the front entrance. The one that the UPS guy and well…the UPS guy sees. Except he would be faced with that vicious, killer dog you see in the background. And he would likely be wagging his tail. (The dog–not the UPS guy.)

Christmas entry

The garland is a favorite for me, but I stayed in the green tones this year. While I keep the garland pretty basic, I will add a pop of color to change things up. This year, I’m crushing on green, so I didn’t really have to do much! Stair garland

Our mudroom doesn’t get as fancified, but I did add a sparkly neutral wreath. I think the winter coats, snow boots, and gloves decorate this space just fine on their own.

Christmas entrance

I had some extra fresh garland left over from the front porch, so I hung it in the kitchen. Me likey. Some large satin ribbon was really all it called for.

Christmas house

The wreaths are artificial, but I always plug some real greenery from the backyard to help it blend a bit. I love long-needle pine, so I like to add it where I can.

Fresh garland

And finally, my daughter’s room. I made this tree bulletin board (more on that later), and she loves the beanbag for her reading nook. Uhhh…who wouldn’t? I could easily take a three day nap in that thing.

Girly Christmas

I kept it relatively simple for her room since pink and glitter can be a bit much. She’s quite thrilled with her little tree village, so I called it good.

Pink Christmas

If you missed part 1 of the Christmas tour, hop on over! There’s plenty more house to see.

    I bet your UPS guy is the envy of UPS guys everywhere – getting to see your gorgeous decorations and having a tail wagging dog great him to boot!

    Love all your natural garland – and the way you used it to spruce (no pun intended) up the fake wreaths.
