I was reading Emily’s post the other day about blogging from her car, and I thought, “How funny. I never would have imagined that.”. I have said before that I’m a very visual person. So much so that if I’m talking to my kids on the phone while they’re out of town, I always ask them what they’re wearing so I can picture them talking to me. (Bad sentence structure–it’s summer.) Sounds weird, perhaps, but it serves as a connection for me.
That being said, I figured I’d put my blog spot on here. Maybe you’re a freak like me, and you like to know where all your blog friends are blogging from. Well, here’s what I face.
I took angled pictures, because I NEVER sit forward. My feet are always up on one side of the desk. Too much information? Just remember all those visual people out there. They’re soaking this up!
And when I’m in deep thought? I stare at these. Then I think, “Man, I’m so glad I bought those white pencils.” Then I think, “What was I thinking about again?”
Just so you know that I’m always thinking of others, this is where my husband usually sits while I’m checking other blogs. He’s usually talking, (something about why we have to have pillows that he takes off the chair everytime he sits down) and I’m saying, “mmm hmmm…yeah…I don’t know…” Deep conversations happen there.
I waited until nighttime to take a picture of me, because that’s when I blog. I’m a “nighttime blogger” (said with echoes, of course). I have no make up on, I didn’t wash my hair today (shocker), and my nemesis just chewed up a toy on the floor behind me. If that’s not reality, I don’t know what is.
If I had any power whatsoever (or any readers, for that matter), I would send you out to post about where you blog from. It would be a massive project. It would be of epic proportions. Alas, I’m just a girl (no pun intended) who wonders if there’s any visual freaks…er…people out there like me. If so…tell us about your blog spot.

I’m a visual person. I am just knit together that way. I learn best when I can see what it is that I should be learning about. Plus hands on. Ironically, I was not the best student in school, however, as a homeschool mom, I am learning so much because I am hands on and going through subjects like history and science, with my children. It is awesome! A second chance at education! :o)
I blog right here in bed. My husband brings a cup of coffee to me every morning and I sit up, draw up my lap top(well it is my husbands, but give it some time!) and just begin my day like this. I do however check out blogs during the day too. If a thought comes to mind I will search to see if anyone else has done that same thing. That is how I started getting interested in reading blogs. I didn’t even know what blogs were. Isn’t it neat to blog? I love reading about what other people are doing and how they did it, then of course I want to try and take pictures too. Pictures are godsends to a visual person! ~Tricia
I don’t think it would be all that interesting to see me on the couch! That’s where I usually sit…laptop on lap! Not very exciting!
I’m totally a visual person. But yeah, where you blog from? WAY better than me. I blog from my desk at work usually….shhhh!

I just found you thru someone else’s blog, who I cannot remember at the moment… Anyway, LOVE your bloggy spot. Does your desk always look that perfect?
My bloggy place is a lovely computer cabinet in my dining room. It is black and sitting caddy in a corner. The cabinet has a great vintage (or just really old) suitcase on top for storage. I snag a chair from my dining room table to sit. Oh, and I never sit straight at my pc either. I’m always sideways for some reason..

I came here via Susis H’s page and intend to come back!! You seem to be the type I could live next door to and love it 🙂
You have a fabulous office! I’m loving your chair and lamp in the corner.
I LOVED reading about your blogging spot!! Can I come blog at your desk!! It looks great!! Love the white pencils BTW!! I work at home so I blog here at my desk in the “office” with my kids computer in here as well. Always lots of noise and distraction – so you don’t want to see any pictures – very brave of you to post pictures of your workspace!!
Love it – I’m including a picture of my happy little corner tomorrow.
Your white pencils are so much cooler than my tin of blue Papermates. Crap.
Your blog spot is so…. CLEAN. I was so relieved to see that last picture of the torn up dog toy. Whew. My office is a huge mess right now. It’s the room that gets the least attention in the cleaning department. I’m not sure why. I seem to spend the most time in this room.
Hey Chris – I was wondering where you got your desk? We’re looking for a wall one since I need to boot my office for a playroom – kids, go figure. I really like the idea of one that is on the wall with all the compartments like this. Any tips? Thanks!
