Black and White Decorations

September 29, 2009 by Chris

With the mudroom having it’s “new” look, I decided to go with a “new” Halloween look, as well.  The ol’ orange and black just wouldn’t have fit in here.

IMG_7408

Why not spook it up with a little black and white?  I bought the little ghost on clearance at Hallmark last year, and I had completely forgotten about it.  Isn’t that fun?

IMG_7410

A little nest from Hobby Lobby (I painted it), a little fur from Hobby Lobby (I cut it from a boa), and a little clearance pumpkin from Hobby Lobby (yup, painted it). I think the total was, like, $2.00.

Here’s a little sneak peak at my new china cabinet.  I’m giddy.  Simply giddy.

IMG_7389 I’ll be back.  Don’t forget to enter for the Queen Bee Designs giveaway!  It doesn’t end until Wednesday!!!

I actually dug up your photos from last year awhile back because I knew I loved some things you did then. I adore the pumpkin, boa, nest combination and am totally you in my dining room right now. Hubby is a little confused as to why the pumpkin is in a nest and wearing feathers. Men. They just don't get it, do they? Very, very cute. And stop teasing us with your craft room already. Ummmmkay?

I simply adore the little nest and pumpkin. Thank you for telling us you painted that pumpkin white. I have seen them other places and wondered if they were fake or some weird white gourds. I had a duh moment when I read you had painted it. lol 😉 Now you know what I will be doing today. hee hee
