An Update

February 15, 2014 by Chris

I wish I had the time (and energy) to thank each of you individually, but I’m afraid this post will have to do. I’m two weeks into recovery, and I’m finally starting to feel like I’m human again. It’s been a rough–and I mean rough–recovery, but your messages, e-mails, cards, etc. have been the light in my day! Thank you so very much for all your kind words, prayers, and positive thoughts.

Of course, as I suspected, this guy saves my life every day. He is nursing me back to good health, and he’s over-protective about everything I do. In essence, he’s been the perfect husband.

Husband date

I’ve only been out a couple of times (I miss you, HomeGoods!), and I’m utterly exhausted each time! So while I’m improving each day, I’m certainly not up to blogger status just yet. You’ll see some random projects here and there–mostly done from my couch. I just wanted to pop in and thank you all so very much for your kindness and your loyalty through it all.

Thank you!

Sending you hugs and prayers. Give yourself plenty of time to heal. I had surgery in September and just now feeling like myself again. My husband will be having surgery in April so we understand a little what you might be going through. It is hard for the patient and the care-giver. You are so blessed with a husband and family to help you through these times.

Dear Chris, take your time your fans and readers can wait. Just think you may develop an original category entitled “Couch Crafts”! Whaddauthink ? Admittedly, a Max post, only if you’re up to it might help your readers make it through this time without you. xoxo Vicki

Glad you are doing better and on the mend. Take it slow and easy – everyone recovers at a different pace, DON’T PUSH YOURSELF! Otherwise you’ll end up 2 steps backwards! We’ll all be here waiting for you to return to blogging. You are your number one priority right now so take care of yourself first and foremost. Victoria

I am reminded of a quote by Mary Anne Radmacher~ Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes it is the Quiet Voice at the end of the day, saying “I will try again tomorrow.” Wishing you a speedy recovery. It is no fun being restful when you are “doer” at heart. Keep getting better, I just found your blog, so I have a lot to explore in the meantime! You can check out my blog if you would enjoy a smile from a pop of color over load! LOL Carolyn
