Whhhhhhhooouuuuuuuffffpppptttttssshhhh! That’s me. I’m blowing the dust off of this blog. It’s not like I left, really. I started devoting more time to Instagram simply because it’s easier for me. And after taking 7.2 hours to write this post, I think I might know why.
Buuut for the 3 people who still look to see if I write anything…hello! And may the lord bless you for waiting. All 3 of you. So what got me back here? Christy and Amy from 11 Magnolia Lane reached out about doing “A Day in the Life” theme. My thinking? Pshhh. How hard could THAT be? #famouslastwords

A Day in the Life of a Teacher who Tries to Blog…Sometimes
Where does it all begin, you ask? In bed during what I consider the middle of the night. That 5:50? Never happens. Like ever. But I like to make myself FEEL like a go-getter. And that’s enough for me. I’m usually the 6:11er. The 6:40? I’d better get up, or I’m going to get fired. And I’d better plan on putting my makeup on in the car.

So for the next 8+ hours, I work. Not super entertaining, eh? I’m a high school English teacher, so I guess there are days when it really is entertaining. It’s a big day if a kid correctly remembers how to goose in plural form! At least when I get home, I get to look forward to this!

My day hovers right over the line between boring and mundane. In addition to laundry, you may find me cooking dinner! Orrrr texting my kids that they are slobs and asking them when they’re going to change that.

And while you don’t find me blogging a whole lot anymore, it doesn’t mean I’m not still workin’ around the house. I like to do projects and then never blog about them. #dontrecommend

And while each day is different, at the end of the day, I crash. Either on the couch to veg out to some tv, on the deck to soak up the last few weeks of warm weather, or directly to bed!

Well thank you to Christy and Amy for this clever idea! It may have taken me three times longer to write this post than every other blogger in the universe, but it was nice to clear the ol’ cobwebs away for a minute! Please head over to their blog–especially to see what Amy’s daily life is like! Guaranteed, it’s way cooler (and more exciting!) than mine. 🙂
