This prompted my “Beer and Burger Basket” for you and your Valentine to enjoy. I’ve included some of my local favorites that I swear by, and the top brews in the nation to go with them. Here’s what you will get!

  1. Ten (two of each five) Michigan brewed beers–all brands are listed on the Top 100 list. Some of the specific brews are seasonal and unavailable at this time.
  2. A flavor tag for each of the beers so you and your date know the origin and flavor.
  3. A burger press (not pictured)
  4. Herman’s Boy burger seasoning–made locally and a famous favorite
  5. Herman’s Boy homemade chocolate fudge
  6. Dry roasted peanuts–cause you can’t have beer without them

Jeffrey January 15, 2014 at 8:41 am

It’s usually dinner and a movie, sometimes with the kids.

Jackie January 15, 2014 at 8:56 am

We usually go out to dinner somewhere we haven’t tried before. Planning to amp it up a bit this year with some fun activities.

margaret January 15, 2014 at 8:58 am

I tuck his favorite candy in his bag with a note listing top ten reasons I love him.

Mariah January 15, 2014 at 9:08 am

Valentine’s Day is also my birthday, so I usually get to pick what we do :) Usually a movie and dinner is involved, but this year I’m getting a massage first!

DebbieK January 15, 2014 at 9:14 am

No big plans! With the little kiddos usually the best we can do is a nice meal at home and some beer or wine.

Becky Prasek January 15, 2014 at 9:16 am

Sweet little gifts left for each other. We have 2 school age daughters…so the evening is usually a family affair.

Judy January 15, 2014 at 9:19 am

No grand plans yet, but I know my husband would love this beer selection.

Karen January 15, 2014 at 9:24 am

I don’t drink, but oh how I miss my SW Michigan home (Kalamazoo area)!! I’m in PA now, and it’s not the same at all! It’s strange being a Midwest girl on the east coast.

Karen January 15, 2014 at 9:25 am

For Valentine’s Day we’re usually lucky to go out to dinner. It’s usually on a weekend, and my husband’s at work. Such a bummer. That’s the joy of being an adult, though!

Sean C January 15, 2014 at 9:26 am

This year we’re going to do a weekend getaway since we usually don’t celebrate vday. It’s cold here in MI, so we’re just going to a place that has an indoor pool and a romantic meal.

Alina January 15, 2014 at 9:28 am

Well, I have mini heart confetti and cute little diy signs if been making since Thanksgiving for Valentine’s day for the hubby. We have a fancy steak dinner at home and then we choose a romantic movie and watch it afterwards.

Christine Linn January 15, 2014 at 9:30 am

My husband would love this giveaway!! :)

Ronda RS January 15, 2014 at 9:31 am

We usually don’t do anything :-(

Miranda Kerley January 15, 2014 at 9:34 am

Well, my boyfriend is going back to school and works most nights and weekends. However, this year I’m hoping that we’ll be able to take a trip to Asheville for the weekend. I’ve been dying to go!

Cheryl January 15, 2014 at 9:36 am

Sounds like a perfect Valentine’s gift for my hubby. He loves trying new beers and we make burgers out of every kind of meat that’s on sale we can get our hands on (bison, veal, lamb, turkey, beef, etc.)!

Shana January 15, 2014 at 9:36 am

Silly cards, a good box of chocolates, and dinner out … but not on Valentine’s Day, too crowded :)

Jaime January 15, 2014 at 9:41 am

We usually stay in and have a romantic dinner at home. We send the kids out for pizza!

Pam Fisher January 15, 2014 at 9:42 am

I love an intimate dinner alone with my hubby.

Carey ~ Gypsy Thread January 15, 2014 at 9:44 am

It’s actually been quite a while since I’ve had a valentine of my own to celebrate with, so I’m kinda scrambling for ideas myself. This IPA treat basket would be PERFECT for my new beau and me to share. I’m loving all of the great baskets and creativity for those of us who may need a little help. Thank you for being part of this giveaway.

Janelle January 15, 2014 at 9:46 am

Over 20 years of marriage and I don’t think we have ever done anything special for Valentine’s Day. We have made other dates our special time.

Dee Fedor January 15, 2014 at 9:48 am

Been married for almost 41 (March) years and my husband never gave me a V Day present. If I win, I will enjoy this by myself when HE goes to bed!!

Stacey January 15, 2014 at 9:48 am

Cheryl Rogers January 15, 2014 at 10:06 am

Thank you for the opportunity to win these!

Kathleen January 15, 2014 at 10:07 am

Julie January 15, 2014 at 10:08 am

Nothing, just stay home together.

Sarah January 15, 2014 at 10:10 am

We usually keep V-day chill for us, because our anniversary is the beginning of the month,

Holly January 15, 2014 at 10:29 am

We usually don’t do anything for Valentine’s Day because my birthday is 4 days later… so we roll it all into one big bday bash (going out to dinner!) Hard to do anything to fancy with a 1 1/2 year old!

crystal moyer January 15, 2014 at 10:30 am

we usually just stay home and celebrate with the kdis sometimes we all go out to a special dinner

Kate January 15, 2014 at 10:31 am

Perfect basket! Hopefully my husband will cook for me…. the restaurants are too expensive that night!!

Rx January 15, 2014 at 10:31 am

I made him a jar of kind notes shaped like hearts and I write new one every year. We also cook dinner together and spend the evening completely unplugged.

Lisa Beech January 15, 2014 at 10:32 am

Say sushi! Or we buy a bottle of red vino and watch some old Sci-Fi movie.

Denise January 15, 2014 at 10:33 am

We usually just have a nice quiet dinner at home. With five kids, it is hard to get out sometimes! :P

Amber Middleton January 15, 2014 at 10:39 am

We usually do something low-key…like send the kids to my parents’ and enjoy a romantic dinner at home.

Ali @ Peaches and Football January 15, 2014 at 10:41 am

My fiance hates valentine’s day, so we never do anything fun together! :-( But I will always buy him a pair of super obnoxious boxer shorts and put them in a pink or red gift bag covered in hearts. :-) Maybe I can convince him to watch a chick flick with me this year.

Kaylee @ Couponing & Cooking January 15, 2014 at 10:41 am

We usually do tapas and wine at home

Catherine in MI January 15, 2014 at 10:42 am

We do nothing exciting. I just make my husband his favorite dinner (lasagna) & do crafts with the kids.

Love this basket! My husband would be impressed. We have some “Dirty Bastard” in the fridge & Herman’s Boy is my FAVORITE coffee place. Thanks for the chance!

LinhC January 15, 2014 at 10:42 am

We don’t do anything special on Valentine’s Day.

We don’t have a “usual”, but one year we went ice skating and it was so fun!

Christina M January 15, 2014 at 10:52 am

We used to go out, but found that we enjoy ourselves more at home hanging out with the dogs.

Kathy H January 15, 2014 at 10:59 am

We have pizza every year on Valentine’s Day. We couldn’t afford much else the first year we were married so we have continued the tradition for 25 years now!

Amy January 15, 2014 at 11:00 am

We don’t do anything different on Valentine’s Day. I may make an nicer dinner than normal

Anna January 15, 2014 at 11:01 am

Great basket idea that isn’t all pink & red! Though the basket is more my husbands style, I think it’s great :)

Andrea January 15, 2014 at 11:04 am

We have five teenaged athletes in our house, so valentines day is most often spent on a bleacher! I usually make a special breakfast with little handmade valentines and a special treat to start the day though.

Cassie January 15, 2014 at 11:07 am

I don’t normally make a big deal about it… something little for the kids, a kiss for the husband. That’s about it.

Pamela Holland January 15, 2014 at 11:08 am

Have not made plans yet. This motivates me to start thinking. It is our 25th Valentines together!

Maggie D. January 15, 2014 at 11:10 am

Just spend some good quality time with my hubby!

Amy January 15, 2014 at 11:12 am

We don’t usually do much. One year, early on in our relationship, I got us a hotel in Dallas and dinner at Reunion tower. If you’ve never heard of it, the restaurant rotates slowly in the ball shaped glassed in restaurant viewing the city. And the elevator up is all glass. My boyfriend gets sick with heights and I have motion sickness, so the first 30 minutes or so we were both green gilled and not hungry at all. haha Eventually we felt better and had a wonderful time, but lesson learned. Sure would love some of the Founders beer. The breakfast stout is one of my very favorites!

Danyiel J January 15, 2014 at 11:16 am

I’ve been making it a fun day for my kiddos for the last 5 years.

Meagan January 15, 2014 at 11:16 am

We usually stay home and do dinner and a movie. Often my birthday gets celebrated with it, since it is the next day.

Jerri green January 15, 2014 at 11:31 am

Laurel O. January 15, 2014 at 11:37 am

We don’t usually make any special plans, but I like to make a nice dinner for my hubby and make some treats for the family.

Stephanie January 15, 2014 at 11:38 am

My friend usually has an anti-valentine’s day party in which we all bring stinky foods

Cath T January 15, 2014 at 11:44 am

I wish I could say we did something blog worthy, but it’s just the usual: eat, watch a movie, etc. DH will love this gift basket!

Lisa Cox January 15, 2014 at 11:46 am

We normally don’t do much of anything for V day. If we have time or money we might get each other a card, but haven’t even done that lately.

Lena January 15, 2014 at 11:51 am

No big plans normally, just a relaxing dinner at home

Brittney Musgrove January 15, 2014 at 11:51 am

My husband and I don’t have much money to do extra stuff but a dinner and movie is a usual date for us!

Dawn H January 15, 2014 at 11:51 am

We usually try to do something fun (have a heart themed lunch or dinner, movie/game evening) with our two young boys. If we’re lucky to find a sitter we’ll make plans to go out for dinner and get the boys a heart shaped pizza they can enjoy.

Anne F> January 15, 2014 at 11:55 am

We tend to have a fancy family dinner on Valentine’s Day – pink/red/white dishes, a fancy dish like crab legs or lobster, and a chocolate dessert. Later that month, DH and I have a date night.

Whitney January 15, 2014 at 11:56 am

Last year, I got a bunch of balloons and tied notes of things I love about him on the end of each ribbon, then scattered them over the bed. I think he liked it. ;)

I usually make a nice candle light dinner at home. Usually something I don’t cook regularly like a surf and turf.

Devin January 15, 2014 at 12:29 pm

My husband has worked the past 4 Valentine’s Days…so we create our own Valentine’s Day on a different night. It’s more fun because the crowds aren’t insane.

Julie W January 15, 2014 at 12:29 pm

We don’t usually do anything special on “the day”, since it’s always crazy. I might go nuts and make a dinner full of red and pink stuff for the kids though.

Stephanie M January 15, 2014 at 12:29 pm

We usually go out to dinner, but this year I’d like to stay in and fix each other a nice dinner, concentrating on each other. I’ve been busy decorating, and planning special handmade cards and gifts for my guy and kids. Thank you for all of your inspiration!

Joanne K. January 15, 2014 at 12:31 pm

Stay home and enjoy each other ;)

Erin January 15, 2014 at 12:33 pm

Ema January 15, 2014 at 12:48 pm

Make dinner at home

rayraycartucci January 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm

I usually watch my husbands band play somewhere…no fun.

Kim January 15, 2014 at 1:02 pm

Nothing too fancy, just dinner out. Last year we actually got burgers and beer, so this would be a perfect gift!

Tonya January 15, 2014 at 1:04 pm

Sometimes we go out, sometimes we get a hotel room, and sometimes we invite the kids and have “fancy” dinner at home!

Nicole gagnon January 15, 2014 at 1:05 pm

The hubs and I keep it pretty simple on Valentines day. Why go out and spend lots of cash when you’ve got an amazing chef at home! My husband, that is, not me ;) He forgives for my cooking illiteracy and we cook a meal together at home. It’s always fun!!

Julie @ Girl on the Move January 15, 2014 at 1:05 pm

This year my cousin will be in town so we’re actually doing a girls night with my mom, sister, cousin, aunts, etc on Valentine’s Day!

Mary-Katherine January 15, 2014 at 1:07 pm

Since we are both graduate students (& therefore aren’t rolling in the cash), we usually make each other gifts. I wouldn’t have it any other way though, because they are always made and given from the heart. Plus, they are always one of a kind!

Kelly January 15, 2014 at 1:07 pm

We try to change it up every year!

kris January 15, 2014 at 1:07 pm

Robin W. January 15, 2014 at 1:09 pm

Sarah Schmid January 15, 2014 at 1:10 pm

Go out to dinner and bake special treats, like a heart shaped cake!

Patti January 15, 2014 at 1:10 pm

Usually dinner out but this year I’m thinking a nice dinner at home with beer of course!

Amber January 15, 2014 at 1:14 pm

Suzanne Bastien January 15, 2014 at 1:24 pm

We change it up every year. But I think we are going to head to Breckenridge, stay the weekend and attend the Ice Castles and snow building events up there!

Jen January 15, 2014 at 1:53 pm

My hubby is a chef so I spend Valentine’s Day at his job! Because of the not so romantic options…we always celebrate the day before which means yummy chocolate covered strawberries (that he had to prep LOL) and a great dinner out without the crazy waits!

Emily January 15, 2014 at 1:53 pm

I love this idea of a gift basket for valentines day. I also really love the idea of a group of bloggers coming together to support each other. I have found some new great blogs to follow. Including yours! I love your home. I am new to the blogging world but I like to see these blogs and what I would like mine to grow into someday. Thank you for the inspiration!

Kate Emmert January 15, 2014 at 1:54 pm

We usually just have a quiet date night (which is a wonderful escape from our lively lil kiddos)!

Norma January 15, 2014 at 1:58 pm

This would be perfect for my husband and I!! We love trying new beers, especially hard to find ones!! :)

virginia January 15, 2014 at 1:58 pm

This looks like fun!

Robin January 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm

For the last several years my husband and I have gone to dinner at a restaurant in the carriage house of an old mansion (now a museum) in a very small town close to where we live. Always includes a wonderful seven course meal with a small band for live music and bringing our favorite bottle of wine. Unfortunately the restaurant is no longer open so I’m working on a plan for a fun evening at home with some delicious food made instead by me….sans the seven courses. ;)

Liz VanKirk January 15, 2014 at 2:07 pm

lesley January 15, 2014 at 2:27 pm

we don’t really do much as my birthday is 3 days prior….we kinda celebrate the two together. everything is so much more busy and expensive that day so we don’t make a big deal out of it.

Karen Thompson January 15, 2014 at 2:43 pm

we do our best to find something new to do. typically we go out for dinner at a new restaurant, or walk around a new part of the city, or see a movie we haven’t seen. but this year we’re going to start cooking at home! it’s more more romantic and personal, and saves money ;) plus we love cooking together

Dusty January 15, 2014 at 2:45 pm

Our V-Day is pretty low-key. We do a family dinner with special Valentine treats for dessert.

Heidi January 15, 2014 at 2:52 pm

We usually do something around the time of Valentines but rarely ON the day. Love your basket!

Autumn Carton January 15, 2014 at 2:52 pm

Heather January 15, 2014 at 2:55 pm

How fun! I love it.

Susan M. January 15, 2014 at 3:16 pm

I’m a lone duck so I concentrate on sending lots of love in various forms to my grandkids.

By the way, I was born in Grand Rapids, raised in various states in MI and a transplanted No. Carolinian for many years. I can attest… those beers are yummy!

Fingers crossed Mr. Raffle picks me!

Hester January 15, 2014 at 3:17 pm

I usually do a countdown to Valentine’s Day or we celebrate the whole month of February with love notes and little home dates. Then we do one bigger celebration by going out to dinner or to see a play or concert.

Regina January 15, 2014 at 3:19 pm

Hmmm, we have a 5year old and no regular babysitter, so options have been limited over the last years. Dinner and beer is definitely a good start… some kind of activity can’t hurt either; since we met at a dance club, we might go swing or salsa dancing…. without the 5year old…..

Jennifer Dawn January 15, 2014 at 3:21 pm

Usually just a date at home since we have three kids.

Victoria January 15, 2014 at 3:22 pm

Valentine’s Day is the anniversary of my sweetie and I first kiss. We celebrate by spending the day together. A couple of years ago I did 14 Days of Love. I started on February 1 and put small items in his lunch box. As the days went on the gifts got a little bigger. I gave him things that would recall a special time in our lives. On one of the days I gave him an antique fire bucket with a bag of red hot tamales candy. He really liked this one since he was a retired fireman. Other days it was a box of conversation hearts, a heart shape paper weight for his desk, etc. It was a lot of fun, it was simple and did not cost a lot of money.

Ellen M. January 15, 2014 at 8:15 pm

We just try to spend as much of the day together as possible – talk, laugh, hold hands, etc. Not grand, but absolutely wonderful! Many thanks!

Rena Davis January 15, 2014 at 8:18 pm

We have four children so we don’t ever get a “date” night… But we do very much enjoy sitting around the fire pit on the patio with friends having a few beers and cooking out on the grill…. That is our date nights!!! Never alone and always with friends and family…. But, we like it that way… One time, I was able to surprise him with several greeting cards that had our entire date planned out… The first card had a gift card to go eat, the next card had movie tickets, and the third card had a sonic gift card for a snack, and the next one held a hotel key…. The room had already been decorated, music playing, candles, and a bucket of beer… I had already taken a change of clothes for each of us for check out time… the next morning I gave him another card thanking him for such a wonderful night… I can’t say we have been able to do anything like that in years but we both still remember that night!!!

Debbie Wilson January 15, 2014 at 8:20 pm

Sue January 15, 2014 at 11:06 pm

I love this idea. I think I will implement it on a smaller scale with a few girlfriends from church. Thank you for sharing.

Dawn January 15, 2014 at 11:18 pm

We don’t do much though throughout the year we take turns hiding a tiny laser cut heart. I recently put it in his toothbrush holder when we went out of town!

Kristen Saucedo January 15, 2014 at 11:26 pm

We normally have dinner to go from somewhere instead of waiting forever for a table we just call in a to go order and we always celebrate as a family!

Geanie January 15, 2014 at 11:29 pm

We never eat out on V-day since it’s too busy. So, I start the day out with a valentine themed breakfast and heart shaped sandwiches for lunch and finish the day off with a v-day themed dinner and of course a a nice chocolatey heart shaped dessert.

leah January 15, 2014 at 11:34 pm

Flora M. R. January 16, 2014 at 1:31 am

my husband is my first and only bf and we were in a long distance relationship. We never had the chance to be together during valentine’s (this year would be the first) and so we just do skype and maybe post a little something on their facebook wall on how thankful we are of having each other.

Marie January 16, 2014 at 7:12 am

We usually just do dinner. My husband and I are both CPAs, so before I stopped working, it was hard to make Valentines Day too special. We were just exhausted from all the hours we were working! Now that I stay at home, we have 2 kiddos that get in the way of too much romance. I’m hoping to change that this year!

Tina M January 16, 2014 at 7:58 am

We usually just have a special dinner at home (with the kiddos).

We normally have a quiet night at home and go out on a different, less crowded night.

Amanda C January 16, 2014 at 10:37 pm

The hubs and I don’t ever do much. We usually wait and celebrate the following weekend because he’s usually working on Valentine’s Day.

Yuchen Zhang January 16, 2014 at 10:50 pm

My best friend, whom I call Wifey, filled my room with electronic candles so it whole room glowed and flickered when I opened the door. She also scattered paper roses all over my room. It was super romantic.

My boyfriend, one year, sent me different sizes of flower arrangements ranging from smallest to largest for 3 days in a row leading up to Vday. It was very thoughtful and well planned! (Send this to her work place and everyone will be jealous!)

Sarah P January 16, 2014 at 11:11 pm

We usually get each other a lil something but hang with the family and plan a date night NEAR V-day but not on it. I much prefer eating at a restaurant when it isn’t crazy packed.

jodie January 16, 2014 at 11:39 pm

Audrey M. January 16, 2014 at 11:56 pm

My husband and I don’t usually do much for Valentine’s Day (it falls between my birthday and our anniversary, followed shortly by his birthday). If we do make plans, it is very casual.

Heather January 17, 2014 at 12:09 am

Flowers and a homemade meal! Thanks for opportunity at the Michigan goodies, what a sweet reminder of home!

April January 17, 2014 at 12:15 am

Jennifer January 17, 2014 at 2:07 am

I usually make some sort of red velvet dessert and eat way too many sweets

Elysa January 17, 2014 at 2:34 am

Valentine’s day is usually a family movie night, with a special dinner made for dad. I have to say this is my kind of basket :) I can’t drink wine so I am always in search of a great local brew beer, love the rest of the items as well. Funny I was just looking at hamburger presses last weekend. Thanks for the giveaway!

Jennifer January 17, 2014 at 6:55 am

Dinner at the Indian restaurant. It’s the one restaurant our daughter hates, so we don’t get to go that often.

Teresa January 17, 2014 at 7:08 am

We usually just have dinner and sometimes a movie but my favorite Vday was when we were stationed in Germany with the US Army and got to have dinner at an Italian restaurant in Italy!

Rachel B. January 17, 2014 at 8:04 am

Typically valentines day includes take out and really good craft beer (we are beer snobs). Great giveaway!

Andrea January 17, 2014 at 9:29 am

We used to do all kinds of exciting things…dates, overnights, scavenger hunts. We have been slacking lately…we need to kick start Valentine’s Day again :)

Daniela January 17, 2014 at 9:32 am

We usually do dinner out and a movie in but occasionally we’ll get creative and do a scavenger hunt or write reasons why we love each other on various items around the house.

Rose Powell January 17, 2014 at 10:40 am

it’s not about what we do, its about how we do it, together, cuddled up, and in love!

Andrea January 17, 2014 at 10:53 am

If I am single during V-day, I just usually chill out. If I am seeing someone, I try to make a DIY project relating to the relationship. I also like to send my gal pals a card, whether single or spoken for. To me V-day is just about love. Friends, family, even pets are included. Wishing all of you reading this a memorable holiday and good luck with the chance to win!

Angela January 17, 2014 at 11:09 am

Nothing too fancy.. we have 2 small kids.. but we try to do something romantic. Even if it’s only staying in and enjoying dinner together after the kids go to sleep. As long as we are together…

Kelly @ The Moon and Me January 17, 2014 at 12:12 pm

Ha…we don’t usually do anything special. We sometimes go to dinner but not ON valentine’s day. It’s just not something we’ve ever made plans for.

Donna January 17, 2014 at 12:13 pm

Sit home alone! This basket would give me something to look forward to!

Chelsea January 17, 2014 at 4:34 pm

Emma Spicer January 17, 2014 at 4:58 pm

Any time spent with my sweetie is special! We have some crazy busy schedules!

Erin G. January 17, 2014 at 5:25 pm

Sometimes we have others (couples or singles) over for dinner and a low-key night in, other times we’ll go out with my sister and her hubby, but either way chocolate is key!

Normally we just go out to dinner or I make a meal for us at home :D

Thank you for the giveaway!

Erika January 17, 2014 at 6:11 pm

My hubby and I actually keep it fairly simple for Valentines day because our Anniversary comes so closely after and we usually do a getaway for the anniversary. WE usually get one of those heart shaped pizzas and stay in to avoid the valentines day rush. I would, however like to do something a little different this year as we have a new little 2 week old newborn at home, and I want to make sure that we do something special… even if it is staying at home.

Melanie January 17, 2014 at 6:29 pm

I like to slip a box of his favorite candy and a note in his car so he opens it before he goes to work.

LeAnn Matrazzo January 17, 2014 at 6:56 pm

We go out to a romantic dinner to our favorite restaurant the Melting Pot. Then afterwards we go to the movies. And the romance continues once we get home and well into the night.

Michelle L. January 17, 2014 at 7:18 pm

We usually celebrate with simple, silly things. Notes tucked in pockets, pink cupcakes, favorite candies and the like. One of my favorites was a small heart shaped stone that said I love you. I slipped it in a card one Valentine’s. A week later I found it hidden in a pocket of a sweater when I arrived at work. It brought a smile to my face and started a fun game of hiding the stone in unexpected places. I took it home and hid it in something of my husbands. Back and forth it has gone for several years. Sometimes we find it right away, other times we might not see it for a week or more. It always brings a smile to my face when I see it though.

carolyn January 17, 2014 at 7:31 pm

We go out to a nice dinner

Lisa N January 17, 2014 at 9:06 pm

We don’t really have any traditions. It really varies from year to year. Sometimes we celebrate early to avoid the crowds. :)

Melanie Johnson January 17, 2014 at 9:45 pm

We are pretty boring…dinner and a movie.

Kellie January 17, 2014 at 9:52 pm

We usually make it a family affair and hang out with the kids. We try to remember all those we love on Valentine’s Day …. not just each other.

Ashley January 17, 2014 at 10:42 pm

my husband would love this getaway! thank you for putting it together! this will be our second valentines together as a married couple, we spent last valentines with our two day old daughter which was perfect :)

Sandra January 17, 2014 at 10:54 pm

We usually go to a fancy restaurant or have fondue and wine at home, depending on our mood.

Breenah January 17, 2014 at 10:57 pm

We just usually do dinner at a nicer-than-normal restaurant. One of these days, maybe we’ll do something extravagant.

Diane @ Vintage Zest January 17, 2014 at 11:05 pm

For Valentine’s Day we go to a restaurant special to us, but somewhere that isn’t fancy. Usually, a sandwich shop or something silly where we used to go in college. We keep the fancy time to our anniversary. :)

Shauna Knowlden January 17, 2014 at 11:39 pm

We usually go to a movie, dinner and sometimes a get away for just the 2 of us.

Elizabeth @ hobbylobbyist January 17, 2014 at 11:39 pm

We keep it simple– a yummy dinner at home.

Kristi January 18, 2014 at 1:18 am

I think I’d let my brother have the beer (I don’t drink, myself) but he’d be THRILLED, as we grew up in MI and we no longer live there. Anyway, my hubby has been known to have Edible Arrangements deliver something yummy to me and we try to get away for a date night. With two kiddos and no family around, it proves difficult. Love your blog – just discovered it, and am happy to see a Michigan girl with such a great following. :) I miss my mitten state!

Erin January 18, 2014 at 2:20 am

My hubby makes me dinner every year for valentines day, and in my house that IS romantic!!

bekki tolman January 18, 2014 at 2:31 am

it’s my BIRTHDAY!

Anna Watson (@SoGaChick) January 18, 2014 at 2:35 am

Valentine’s day is our anniversary, so we always get up and go to breakfast somewhere and then head to Savannah Georgia to spend a couple of days, sans the kids.

Tiffany January 18, 2014 at 6:48 am

My husband’s birthday is Valentine’s Day, so we do two weekends of celebrations. In the two years we’ve been married I’ve been hospitalized 20 times, so it’s been hard to do much since I’m so sick and we have a 6 month old baby now. We usually stay in but I try to do something special for his birthday and muster the energy to take him to a fun restaurant or something.

Crystal January 18, 2014 at 11:21 am

My husband and I love microbrews! This would make for a great Valentine’s evening.

Trista January 18, 2014 at 11:51 am

Since V-day is also my B-day I usually end up going to dinner and spending time with loved ones. Would like to do something different and exciting this year with the mister just need to figure out what.

Nichole N January 18, 2014 at 11:59 am

We’ll go out for happy hour then come back and drink and play games by the fire.

Stephanie January 18, 2014 at 12:11 pm

I start with heart shaped pancakes for my little guy and heart shaped sandwiches in his lunch. Then I make him a goody bag and basket for my husband with some of his favorite things. We keep it simple with a nice dinner at home. Plus chocolate dessert! THIS would be so cool for him!

KAthy S January 18, 2014 at 12:39 pm

Sorry, no cool ideas. We usually just do a nice dinner in.

Jennifer S January 18, 2014 at 12:49 pm

This will be the first time in years we’ve celebrated VDay. So, I’m loving reading all your ideas!

Susan Christy January 18, 2014 at 1:25 pm

Valentine’s day is usually pretty boring – dinner and a movie.

Nicole G January 18, 2014 at 2:39 pm

My friends and I usually have a hilariously great anti-valentines party complete with anti-conversation hearts. This is the first year in a while that I’ll be celebrating with a significant other (my wonderful fiance!) so the sky is the limit!

jo January 18, 2014 at 2:47 pm

We have a 9-year old son, and little resources in terms of childcare…so ours is a family tradition. We have a messy pasta-oriented dinner and good manners are not permitted. The goal is to demonstrate extreme rude behavior. It is fun and way out of my comfort zone.

Brittani January 18, 2014 at 3:07 pm

On Valentines Day we like to write each other love notes that we can open at every hour while we are at work. So much fun!

Amanda January 18, 2014 at 3:54 pm

We make dinner together after the kids go to bed, then watch a movie. LOVE your basket, as we are former Michiganders (and beer and burger aficionados).

Susan Chester January 18, 2014 at 4:11 pm

We usually go out for dinner and give each other a romantic card.

Suzanne T. January 18, 2014 at 5:02 pm

Sometimes it’s out on the town for dinner and a movie, sometimes it’s relaxing at home with dinner and movies.

Kate @ Songs Kate Sang January 18, 2014 at 6:48 pm

I usually cook a wonderful meal and we watch a movie together as a family.

Danyelle January 18, 2014 at 6:55 pm

My birthday is the day before, so we usually stay in on Valentine’s and have a romantic dinner ;)

robin avidor January 18, 2014 at 7:02 pm

cheese fondue for dinner and chocolate fondue for dessert!

Michaela January 18, 2014 at 7:33 pm

we tend not to have a babysitter, so normally just fun dessert after the kiddo is in bed!

jennifer triplett January 18, 2014 at 8:18 pm

When my children were young I often found it impossible to secure a sitter on this national date night so I came up with my own special way of celebrating the love for everyone in my family. I prepared a fancy dinner of heart shaped foods, my husband took the kids out of the house for a kid centered movie–often in an empty theater as most children were home with their babysitters. While they were out I decorated the house in true Pinterest style–even though this was years before Pinterest! They came home to our own special night with fine china, crystal glasses filled with sparkling apple cider, and chocolate covered strawberries. As adults, they all still claim those were the best nights of their childhood. I think is was because I worked so hard just for them.

Julie D January 18, 2014 at 8:42 pm

My husband usually makes me dinner

Bree Tinch January 18, 2014 at 9:00 pm

Starla Bates January 19, 2014 at 4:40 am

Nothing really exciting usually, just the normal movie and dinner. Maybe hotel rental in the city.

heather L January 19, 2014 at 9:46 am

Since having our girls our valentines day has been pretty much all about the kids. We haven’t celebrated a valentines day alone for 8 yrs. We just have dinner at home and a yummy desert.

CTBaker January 19, 2014 at 11:04 am

Our 3 boys are our Valentines. We usually let them pick their favorite dinner and set the table nicely. Then after they head to bed my hubby and I order sushi and have a date night in!

Anne January 19, 2014 at 11:27 am

For a long time (going back to college days), my husband and I would order Chinese and rent a movie. With kids now we have started to do a Valentine’s breakfast with heart-shaped pancakes.

Julie S January 19, 2014 at 11:56 am

We usually stay in – and go out for dinner a week later when the restaurants aren’t so crowded.

Jessica howell January 19, 2014 at 12:12 pm

We make dinner together the night of and spend a night before making goodie bags for our my students.

melle e January 19, 2014 at 3:34 pm

we usually wait until the weekend after valentine’s, but he brings me flowers and a card home that day… one year he bought me a box of chocolates, and under each piece was a little note telling me something he loved about me. i usually spend the two weeks leading up leaving him little notes in his lunch when I pack it, taped to his steering wheel, under his windshield wipers, at work on his desk, emails and sexy text messages… :)

my husband is WAY more romantic than me… :D

shay January 19, 2014 at 4:10 pm

This looks perfect for my husband!

Jenny January 19, 2014 at 8:10 pm

Angela L January 20, 2014 at 1:58 pm

new man- new valentines memories I hope!

Brittany Hand January 20, 2014 at 2:07 pm

I’m a fan of dressing up and going out to a special place we either haven’t been to in a while or trying a new place that has been on our list.
If money is tight then I like to make an extra special dinner for my man. Steak, twice baked potatoes and dessert :)

Erica January 20, 2014 at 2:12 pm

I don’t usually do anything tbh. This is my first year with my SO, I am planning an inexpensive but romantic dinner at home.

KJ Skib January 20, 2014 at 2:14 pm

We haven’t really done much on Valentine’s Day but this year we are doing a Wildfire Dinner and country line dancing at Toby Keith’s bar.

alyssa p January 20, 2014 at 2:18 pm

We’re pretty casual, so we usual just stay in. Though now that we have a kid in the house, we might have to get more creative.

Donna January 20, 2014 at 2:50 pm

Nothing out of the ordinary really! Since we usually are on a business trip a few days before V-day!

Jaye L. January 20, 2014 at 3:34 pm

Valentines Day for me is usually focused on my kids. I like to surprise them with hidden treats throughout the house!

Traci January 20, 2014 at 3:43 pm

Now this will be a great Valentine’s gift for my husband and me to enjoy!!!!!

Sharon January 20, 2014 at 4:11 pm

We just stay in. I usually make some yummy homemade treats and we enjoy those.

heather r January 20, 2014 at 4:40 pm

I’m a bit boring, I’m afraid – I prefer to snuggle up with my sweetie and stay indoors! I typically stick with some kind of theme for the presents and activities. some years are sweet and romantic, and some are less PG rated!

Stephanie Martinez January 20, 2014 at 4:45 pm

Unfortunately we are boring….. nothing great, but this year i’m hoping to try something new.

Laurie January 20, 2014 at 5:51 pm

We don’t usually celebrate Valentine’s day, but I do celebrate chocolate on sale the next day!

Brianna January 20, 2014 at 6:09 pm

For the past 3 years we haven’t been able to celebrate for various reasons. I would love to win so we have an excuse TO celebrate.

Adriana Delgado January 20, 2014 at 6:20 pm

I usually do a whole week of LOVE! I fill his pant pockets full of hearts that tell him how much I love him. I make him his favorite foods for that entire week as well. I make a point to make him his favorite deserts throughout the week. All around, I think I make him feel like he’s really loved :)

Cassidy Liljenquist January 20, 2014 at 6:32 pm

My husband and I are separated, but this would be a great Vday gift that my boys could give their daddy.

Julie Solberg January 20, 2014 at 6:59 pm

I usually help make crafts/gifts with the kids, play some basketball or head outside, cook a fun dessert & meal, & later play games or watch a movie…

Debbie Bennett January 20, 2014 at 10:17 pm

Nothing special; but, this year I may become a beer drinker… just saying.

Alice S. January 20, 2014 at 11:04 pm

I usually go out to dinner with my hubby, or make a special dinner for the family. Oh and who can forget heart shaped pancakes before school. :)

Gabrielle January 21, 2014 at 4:00 am

On Valentine’s day my babe makes me breakfast, he’s an amazing cook. Then me and my spouse usually go out to a nice dinner. Most likely italian because he knows it’s my favorite. We go out to the movies and come home to a bottle of wine and spend the night with our best friend :]

Su January 21, 2014 at 6:14 am

We try to travel somewhere new for valentine’s day!

Raina DelRio January 21, 2014 at 11:22 am

Since Hubby works late normally, we postpone our “date” until his off day (Sunday). We normally go to a nice dinner that evening, or he spends his day with me in the fabric store letting me have a mini shopping spree (and helping me “coordinate” prints and patterns).

Linda S January 21, 2014 at 12:12 pm

We cook a fun valentines dinner with the family and make pink drinks for the kids

kelsey January 21, 2014 at 12:34 pm

We usually go on a ski weekend!

Ashley W January 21, 2014 at 12:36 pm

My husband and I like to keep it low key. I usually cook a nice dinner and then we cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie together. I don’t need anything super fancy as long as we are together.

meredith January 21, 2014 at 12:50 pm

we’re low key and have nice dinner at home

Brandy L. January 21, 2014 at 12:53 pm

This year I am making a gift basket for my man with little things that highlight what I love about him. I found the idea on Pintrest (can’t remember which awesome blogger posted this idea). I’m hoping he loves it. Best part is that I am spending less than $20 on the whole thing (including a Hallmark card).

Emily Hoffman January 21, 2014 at 12:59 pm

I love writing little notes about what I love about him!

Carrie Jo January 21, 2014 at 1:02 pm

We usually don’t have the opportunity to do much for V-Day, but this basket would help. We’re both HUGE craft beer lovers. In fact, we met because we worked together at a local Milwaukee craft brewery. :) I’d love, love, love to surprise my husband with this gift.

KeriAnn January 21, 2014 at 1:48 pm

Unfortunately we have been unable to do anything for Valentine’s Day in a few years. First due to my back surgery and unable to do much due to pain. And then finances haven’t been great. So lately it has just turned into any other day for us. Which is sad I wish I could do something for my husband who works so hard since I had to leave my job due to nerve damage in my lower left region of my back down to my left foot.

Tammy Horn January 21, 2014 at 1:53 pm

We normally take a trip to the mountains and stay at the lodge there. Awesome giveaway. Love how you put this together and yes this will appeal to my hubby too!

Andrea Byrne January 21, 2014 at 1:55 pm

I’m going through a divorce this year so it’s the anti-valentines day that I’m celebrating with friends!

Kim W. January 21, 2014 at 2:10 pm

We always leave a candy trial from the kids’ rooms to the living room with a prize at the end…usually a movie that we all watch together as a family that night with pizza and popcorn. Not romantic but fun!

Karen T January 21, 2014 at 2:26 pm

Usually stay in!

Nichole Spencer January 21, 2014 at 2:31 pm

I’ve been single every v-day. So the usual – watch chick flicks, eat take out, drink tons of wine and eat chocolate or ice cream for dessert! This basket would have me drinking beer and making delicious burgers, and I’d be down with that!

Laura Martin January 21, 2014 at 2:33 pm

Spending time with my family!

Mari January 21, 2014 at 2:49 pm

I usually buy my husband a gift tailored to his interests–this year he’s into gin, so I bought him a round ice cube maker and a make your own bitters set.

jenn January 21, 2014 at 2:51 pm

Since having kiddos, we usually do a family picnic in the living room with a valentine’s day movie (last year’s was Lady and the Tramp) with heart shaped pizza and fun dessert. Then the hubs and I try to have alone time after the kids have an early bed time with another romance movie and or spa night at home for the 2 of us.

Kristin January 21, 2014 at 2:51 pm

I love this basket since it’s not completely girly and both parties can enjoy the burgers and beer! Valentines day is my man & my anniversary so we always exchange our gifts, but lately we’ve been staying home on Valentines day & will usually go out to a nice dinner either the weekend before or after to avoid the craziness. I have no idea what I’m gifting him or what we’re going to do this year so I need to get that figured out, haha!

Kim Ross January 21, 2014 at 2:58 pm

We’re doing Operation Valentine from The Dating Divas. So I actually don’t know what we’re doing for the date! I’m kind of excited, I love surprises.

Jyna January 21, 2014 at 3:00 pm

Usually we just eat as much chocolate and fruit as possible. haha

Jamesa January 21, 2014 at 3:11 pm

We try and go out to dinner together, even if it isn’t on Valentine’s Day itself. We have a teenager and a toddler, so we also love treating them to something fun too.

Kristy C January 21, 2014 at 3:15 pm

Anything we do is always a surprise. We don’t have a “usual” :) We try to surprise each other a little.

Debbie (Accidently Delish) January 21, 2014 at 4:07 pm

two hearted is one of my favorite beers! really anything by Bell’s is amazing. It is a goal to make it to that brewery! that being said, me and my fiance are HUGE beer drinkers, we actually tour breweries, so I think this Valentines Day we’re going to go to a new to us brewery. We like to do that on special occasions.

bg January 21, 2014 at 4:32 pm

we are usually at home – something special but relaxing

Katherine January 21, 2014 at 4:34 pm

We usually do some sort of special dinner, although not always on Valentine’s Day itself.

Susan January 21, 2014 at 4:53 pm

We usually try and make a special dinner after our kids are in bed. And we talk about our favorite moments of the year.

Susan January 21, 2014 at 4:54 pm

We usually have a special dinner after the kids are in bed.

Rebekah S. January 21, 2014 at 4:55 pm

I usually make him breakfast and we have a low key night snuggling and watching movies.

Kathi January 21, 2014 at 5:28 pm

A trip to the local brewery is our favorite time together. GR and Kalamazoo have so many outstanding ones that is always a great time.

Kat P. January 21, 2014 at 6:01 pm

I try to do something for the kids in my life every year. Romance for the sweetheart and I is usually sadly lacking. I’m looking for new inspirations that won’t end up in eaten flowers, burnt desserts, or rain soaked valentines with crying kids! :D

Lindsey Morris January 21, 2014 at 6:04 pm

We have dinner and a romantic evening <3

heather tarver January 21, 2014 at 7:31 pm

Me and my husband rarely get time together alone, so we find a relative to stay with our daughter and have a date night. Movie, dinner, just spending time together!

Lauralee mcCool January 21, 2014 at 7:43 pm

Mine is usually more about the kids and me. :( This year I’ve picked up some great tips just doing this giveaway. I’m going to do a countdown starting on 02/01 for the kids and the hubs with little candies or paper gifts everyday leading up the 14th. I’m hoping for a beer basket as my big gift (not so subtle hint, hint.) :)

Emilie C January 21, 2014 at 7:49 pm

Usually I cook a special meal for us to enjoy together with a nice massage :) But I will be working this year :/

Shelby January 21, 2014 at 8:00 pm

For Vday we usually rent a movie (hubby usually even lets me pick ;)) and have pizza. Nothing crazy exciting or anything but I love it anyway :)

Tina R. January 21, 2014 at 8:05 pm

It is usually dinner and a movie but one year my husband showed up at work with a red rose and a note detailing the night…………..I won’t say what was in the note but it was a very romantic and wonderful night!

Abbey January 21, 2014 at 8:14 pm

I always get the same ole flowers but I would love a spontaneous weekend getaway!!

Pauline January 21, 2014 at 8:19 pm

go to a casino

Kellie January 21, 2014 at 8:24 pm

We try to do an activity together. This year we plan on going to the movies.

Mindy January 21, 2014 at 8:35 pm

We usually just try to go out to dinner, either the weekend before or the weekend after.

Julia January 21, 2014 at 9:30 pm

Dinner in on the actual day and a nice dinner later on. Valentines day is so hard to get reservation on that its less stressful for me to stay in.

Michelle Hagewood January 21, 2014 at 9:39 pm

Unfortunately Valentine’s Day is just another day in our house. We never have enough money or a sitter to be able to do anything.

boylaneely at hotmail dot com

Leigh S. January 21, 2014 at 10:08 pm

I’m sad to say that we are the opposite of cool, but since you asked… we typically do a dinner at home and rotate who gets to cook. I do something fancy when it is my turn, he cuts frozen pizza into heart shapes. And if we are getting really crazy, we may use a red tablecloth. Your beer basket would take us over the top.

Nikki January 21, 2014 at 10:10 pm

My husband isn’t normally home on Valentine’s Day as he is in Alaska, so I normally do some sort of cute breakfast, lunch dinner and surprises for them. My husband will be home on the 16th of February this year so I have very excited!

Helen January 21, 2014 at 10:38 pm

We usually pick up pizza (heart shaped from Papa Murphy’s) and watch a movie. We’ve done it for years now and it’s a lot of fun! Plus, we get to skip the crowds.

Shanny Gallagher January 21, 2014 at 10:51 pm

We usually stay in, avoid the crowds, and spend some family time

Amy Kirchhoff January 21, 2014 at 10:55 pm

We’re staring the Dating Divas’ Year of Dates!

Katelyn Graves January 21, 2014 at 11:40 pm

We usually do a fancy dinner for the family (steaks) and then special dessert like fizzy sherbet pink drinks. Then its bed time for the littles and chocolate covered strawberries for the husband and I.

crafty girl January 21, 2014 at 11:46 pm

i’m usually holed up with some ice cream.

Jennifer Asher January 21, 2014 at 11:49 pm

If we won this basket, I’m pretty sure this Valentine’s Day would be his favorite!

Stacey Turner January 22, 2014 at 12:28 am

My husband and I tried to go out to dinner on our very first Valentine’s Day back when we were dating. We had reservations, but still had a wait for our table and had our meal in an overcrowded restaurant which didn’t seem very romantic despite it being a nice place. Ever since then we have taken turns each year cooking dinner at home. This year is his turn and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with for our meal!

Trish January 22, 2014 at 1:43 am

We spend quiet alone time together. A nice dinner, a movie, some scrabble and must have chocolate!!!

Tiffany More January 22, 2014 at 2:03 am

A different getaway every year short and sweet. Places we’ve never been before.

Cindy January 22, 2014 at 9:15 am

We usually do a movie and dinner. Would love to win your giveaway!

Julie January 22, 2014 at 9:45 am

we usually stay home. Though we do switch babysitter with my sister in law

Leah Warner January 22, 2014 at 10:10 am

We always make our own heartshaped pizzas. They never taste very good but they are super cute!

Mary January 22, 2014 at 11:17 am

Taking a ride in the woods and discussing our day :)

Valerie Guerrero January 22, 2014 at 11:39 am

Danielle January 22, 2014 at 11:45 am

Honestly, we just try to do things together and be romantic ALL year, so Valentine’s isn’t extremely different LOL

Angie January 22, 2014 at 11:50 am

A nice dinner together.

Lesl January 22, 2014 at 12:30 pm

We do a Valentine’s breakfast with cinnamon sugar heart-shaped crescents, heart pancakes, heart sausages, etc. I bought some cheap Valentine’s goblets that the kids love to drink milk or juice out of all day on V-day!
Maybe not healthy as can be, but better than a bunch of candy all day!

Gwen January 22, 2014 at 1:16 pm

no real plans – sometimes we do a nice dinner

Megan January 22, 2014 at 1:22 pm

We usually do something small, like take-out and a movie at home. But the hubby always makes me breakfast that morning and this year we will have a tiny newborn so I can’t really ask for more than that :)

Amber January 22, 2014 at 1:31 pm

We celebrate Valentines twice. Once with the kids, lots of candy, cuddles and hot chocolate. And then later my husband and and I go out for a dinner date.

Julie Smith January 22, 2014 at 1:53 pm

Right now, I am committedly single (at least until my son finishes growing up, or sooner if I meet someone absolutely fantabulous), so I spend my Valentine’s Day by giving gifties to my children (including the oldest 3 daughters who are out on their own), and receiving gifties from the kids (usually they take me to dinner at one of my fave restaurants)

Sharon January 22, 2014 at 2:04 pm

Dinner out is pretty much it for us. Thanks for this opportunity! Love your blog!

Melissa January 22, 2014 at 2:10 pm

I usually do whatever my sweetie plans on V-Day. For once, it’s not me doing the planning!!

Sara S. January 22, 2014 at 2:18 pm

We usually just spend it at home, eat a nice dinner and watch a movie.

Emillie January 22, 2014 at 4:05 pm

Well, Last Valentines is when my husband proposed so we get to set the groundwork this year.

Diane F January 22, 2014 at 4:09 pm

My man would love this.

Abbey January 22, 2014 at 4:45 pm

No plans yet for this year, but last year we had a nice dinner together and then that weekend went to a comedy show together! It was so much fun and something I hadn’t done before! A month later we had a couples massage. :)

Minette January 22, 2014 at 4:59 pm

We do a fun family breakfast and then we either do dinner together again as a family or we go out just the two of us. We do notes and a movie with dessert after the kids go to bed if we stay in. The kids and I also like to do something fun for Daddy!

Minette January 22, 2014 at 5:01 pm

Oh, and we don’t drink so if I were to win, you could keep the beer but I would love the other stuff, especially the burger press! Thanks for doing this and sharing!

Taylor A. January 22, 2014 at 5:52 pm

Usually we go to the same Italian restaurant every year. It’s one of our traditions. Also we enjoy some chocolate and some sparking cider!

Usually just dinner together.

Kate January 22, 2014 at 9:53 pm

We usually do a dinner date, but usually a few days before Valentine’s day to avoid all the crowds. Much better. On the actual day I like to make hubby dinner. This year I’m hoping to have some alone time if we can get a babysitter! :)

Lovisa January 22, 2014 at 10:34 pm

Burgers and beers: my favorite kind of date night!

Heather January 23, 2014 at 11:58 am

We try to do something different each year. Doesn’t have to be anything big and extravagant, but just something that means something special to each of us or something that we have been wanting to do or try. As long as we are together we have so much fun and love every minute.

Nancy K January 23, 2014 at 12:18 pm

Dinner, sometimes a fav restaurant, others a night at home : )

Brook January 23, 2014 at 12:22 pm

The hubby and I normally have a night in. We cook together and then cuddle up on the couch for a movie night! We normally have treats (ok lots of junk food) that we buy the days before and we completely veg out in front of the TV! Our life is so crazy, most of the time we just need a night in!

Ana K January 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm

Love this idea for a basket! Unless I win, I’m gonna run with this idea for Valentines night! We don’t have traditions. This is our first Valentines as a married couple.. it’s gonna be good :)

Megan S January 23, 2014 at 1:14 pm

We usually spend a night in and get some movies that we have been wanting to see. We usually make this elaborate dinner, mostly crab legs, and we just enjoy the company of each other.

Sarah January 23, 2014 at 1:20 pm

This is the first valentines day that my husband and I are both either not working or out of town so I’ll let you know what we do when we plan it!

Usually a fancy dinner and we like to get each other sweet greeting cards and write a personal note in them.

Rachel B. January 23, 2014 at 3:08 pm

We don’t usually do anything. This year, however, my husband may take my 3 yr old daughter to her first father/daughter dance. :)

Carmen January 23, 2014 at 3:10 pm

We really haven’t done anything the last few years – after our daughter was born. I need some inspiration!

Brooke January 23, 2014 at 3:20 pm

We avoid the crowds, rent a guilty pleasure movie or TV series (does “Star Trek: the Next Generation” count? <3 Patrick Stewart <3), and eat popcorn. It's fantastic.

Jade Sheldon-Burnsed January 23, 2014 at 3:35 pm

My husband and I like to stay in a cook a meal together…

Katelyn January 23, 2014 at 3:51 pm

Julie January 23, 2014 at 8:06 pm

we want to go away for the night :)

Michelle Tucker January 23, 2014 at 9:07 pm

We honestly usually do nothing, which is fine with us. We share our love all year, and really don’t always need the special love day. Although, I wouldn’t mind some flowers, heh.
