Oh yeah. Resolutions.

by Chris on December 31, 2010

1. Lose 50 pounds. The key to attaining this goal is to not be particular about how I lose the 50. How much does a right foot and two pinkies weigh?

2. Go to bed earlier than midnight. Or start sleeping in until 10:00 every morning and get fired from my job. Not sure which direction I’ll go on this one just yet.

3. Cut Justin Bieber’s hair. I have no plan of attack at the moment, but I think achieving goal #2 will be a step in the right direction.

4. Have my eyebrows waxed more often. This might not seem like a significant goal to you, but when your hairdresser refers to you as a wooly mammoth, you might consider it.

5. Make my kids do more chores. This goal allows me to negate what would be goals #6-72 for myself. It’s quite brilliant of me, really.

                              Less                                               More

Whatever your resolutions are, I hope you have a wonderful new year! Stay safe!

Lose 50 pounds? I'm more likely to lose 50 euros, honestly…

I think I'll just attempt to continue the slow downward weight loss, it's progress and by this time next year, it might even be significant!

Happy New Year to you as well!

Chelsy@ Sweet Pea Kisses December 31, 2010 at 8:44 pm

My resolution is to compliment at least one person a day.

Cute post!! Wishing you a Happy New Year! (And if some of those things do happen I know where to come look first!)

Brittny December 31, 2010 at 9:37 pm

Can I help you cut that kid's hair? It drives me crazy and I didn't even know who he was (still not really sure) until about 6 months ago. The kids here (Florida that is) all have the same hair and it bugs the mess out of me! Just let me know when you see him and I will drop everything to help you out on this one! : )

Morgan December 31, 2010 at 9:38 pm

Cheryl January 1, 2011 at 3:32 am

Such a funny post…I'm with you on losing the weight and cutting JB's hair! And going to bed before midnight…for a blogger that is indeed a challenging one. About two hours before I read your blog, I wrote a similar post on mine…but I looked back at how I did on last year's resolutions…not so good I'm afraid. Maybe this year will be better…Happy New Year!

Oh…I have a goal to lose 50 pounds also. How about the person to lose it first gets to make the other one listen to "Baby, baby, baby..OH!" 50 times in a row?

How's that for motivation?! (Like you even have 50 to lose…whatever, you look great!)

Handy Man, Crafty Woman January 1, 2011 at 5:13 am

I love this post! My goal is 20#, but we'll see how it works out! :D And really, the kid needs a haircut, and a few other life changes IMO!
Love your blog!

Joanna Taylor January 3, 2011 at 9:21 pm

Chris, I love it! Especially the waxing eyebrows. But I do it more for "me-time" which tells you something if having hair pulled out of my face sounds relaxing to me. I'd love for you to link up on my 2011 goals post. I think others would get as much of a kick out of these as me.

Alicia@ eco friendly homemaking January 4, 2011 at 1:28 am

Your post is so cute! I think there is quite a few of us that would help you cut that boys hair.

Happy New Year to you! And I'll help you hold the Bieber down!!!

Rissa January 14, 2011 at 3:20 am

ROFL! I love it. "Less of this, More of this" – child labour is definitely the way to go ;)

ter@waaoms February 27, 2011 at 1:51 am

I laughed out loud so hard at the resolution to cut Beiber's hair. I have been shouting "GET A HAIRCUT" every time I see him on tv. Looks like he either finally heard me or you hunted him down and cut his hair. :) I saw him on Ellen the other day sporting a new 'do and he was giving her some locks of his hair to donate to charity! (ewwww!)
