My Colortopia

I am one of those unfortunate people who struggles with paint color. Oh, I love the paint colors in my home. It just usually takes me three different coats in different shades to figure that out. Where has My Colortopia been all my life?

Glidden has basically devised a new way of exploring color and a community of bloggers (familiar faces for many of you!) to offer paint advice and suggestions. Tricky laundry room to paint? They can help. Wanna know how to paint stripes on a wall? They’re on it.

The help doesn’t stop there. My favorite tool is a virtual “color selection” for you. They have a number of images for you to choose or you can upload your own! I’m on a blue kick right now, so this picture was exactly what I was looking for. Notice how I selected the portion I like, and it pulled the paint colors that are found in the image. Shut the front door. How cool!

Okay. So I couldn’t stop at one. Pretty colors, right?

Another awesome feature is a personality quiz of sorts. A lot of people struggle with picking paint colors because they don’t even know what they like. This quiz is so cool to give some insight about how personalities can set the tone for color choices. I think I had too much fun playing around with it. I’ll bet you will too!
