A New Table

by Chris on October 31, 2011

I decided to spruce up my living room just a bit, and it started with the curtains I made. It gave me a color base for the direction I wanted to go in, and I’ve been bouncing off that for everything else.

The next step? Some new accent pieces. I found this table a few weeks ago, and I knew it was meant to be. vance accent table

Sure is pretty, eh? It’s the Vance Accent Table, and I found it here. I had a 25% off coupon. Not bad for a pretty accent table that makes me want to stop and pet it every time I walk by.

Wanna see my other options? And by options, I mean “tables that are available that would never really be mine.”

Orbit Table $769                                                                                  Morocco Table $416

Really? Who spends that kind of money on an accent table? For that kind of money, I could buy seven, four, six, a lot more tables just like mine!

I was kind of hoping it would be a little more brassy when I got it, but it’s definitely in the bronze/copper family. Of course, now that I have it up to the new curtains, it is spot on! Love it when that happens.

Your new table is so pretty! It strikes a great balance between being masculine and feminine, if you know what I mean. It’s not really neutral–it makes a bold statement–it’s more like balanced. Anyway, it looks great in your beautiful room.

Hope you’ve had a great October! I was always sad to see October end when we lived in Michigan. Such a glorious month in that part of the world!

Oh my gosh!! LOVE it! I’ve seen it in the catalog and wondered what it look like in person. If you ever get a whim to spray paint it- I totally recommend Valspar’s metallic gold- it is the best gold spray paint ev-ah. It will give you that great gold finish that all those other pricey tables have.

Thank you, Kaye! I actually posted about the curtains (and linked to them in this post). The lamp I found at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. It was on clearance for $17.00. :)
