One of my oldest blog friends—wait, let’s re-word that… One of my very first blog friends is Linda from Restyled Home. She is currently the Executive Editor for Holiday with Matthew Mead, and I couldn’t be more proud of her and the team that puts out this amazing read.

Matthew Mead’s work is just beautiful, and his books are so nicely done. How cool that you and Linda have been blog friends for a long time!

I’m excited about my new dining room. I first painted my dining room red back when we lived in Hillsdale, MI–way back in 1991. I remember that people thought I was crazy for painting that room red, but I loved it. And I continued to love it for a long time, but lately I’ve known it was time for a change. Still, I was really scared to choose a new color. Finally I remembered that it was just paint, after all, and could always be changed again–but I think I’ve got a keeper. I’m loving my new room.

I’m excited to see the fall edition of Matthew’s Holiday magazine.

Have you gone back to work? Most schools in my area of Virginia start this coming Monday but mine has already been in session for a week. It’s hard to get back into the routine! Hope you have a good school year.
