Things are finally settling down just a bit, so I’ve been able to do a little more thrifting lately. I had my mom with me when I found this silver (heavy) platter.
And this! I giggled with glee since I walked out of there only paying $3.99 for it! I brought this baby home, polished her up, and showed her off to my mom! She was SO angry at herself for not being able to see it’s beauty in the store! She’s a rookie.
Yesterday, I went to the paint store to get some samples. Lucky for me, they had what I call an “upper end” consignment store. I think they charge too much, but sometimes you can find some good things.
As I was gathering them all up, my daughter said, “Mommy, why are you laughing?” I didn’t even realize it. That’s what thrifting does to us.
The smallest ball was priced at $9.00, the medium ball was $11.00, and I imagine the largest one was $13.00. Hold on…I’ve gotta go get my calculator. Okay. That means, these would have been $53.00!!!
Perhaps I was laughing because I walked out of there only spending $22.00! Woo Hoo, I tell ya! By the way…the silver tray below was from White Barn Candle Co. I paid $1.99.
I’m gonna go think about all the money I saved. My husband will be thinking about all the money I spent.
