WOAH! Is it 2017 already? I guess I….took a few minutes off, eh? You ever have those days where you sit on the couch moments before your bedtime and think, “Where in the heck did the day go?” Me too. For about the last 30 days.
Things are starting to calm down a bit, so I thought I should check in. If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know I took a little whirlwind trip to New York City last week. I work with HomeGoods on their social media team, and a group of us went to NYC for some “business”. I wish I could tell you more. It’s really top secret. Not really. I just wanted to sound cool.
I was able to travel with some amazing bloggers, and this is seriously one of the only pictures I took. I’m a disappointment.
We stayed at The London hotel, and it was beautiful. So beautiful that I barely took any pictures of it. What’s wrong with me? I got the good stuff though. The lobby…
My room…
And my view…
Truth be told, my favorite time in this city is at night. It simply comes alive, and I want to take pictures of everything! Pictures that obviously do the city NO justice at all. (No bloggers were harmed in the taking of this photo.)
Bryant Park–one of my favorite spots in the whole city.
My last day was full of sun, so I fled the high rises for Central Park. That skyline is amazing.
And then I headed to the American Museum of Natural History. I have a bit of an obsession with dinosaurs, and they had a phenomenal display. I still can’t wrap my brain around it all! They’re so huge!
As for the food….I recommend Gyu-Kaku. It was interesting (cooked our own food) and delicious.
Of course, there were moments of panic because of the chopsticks. Fear not. I did not starve to death like I thought I would.
As for sweets, I tried Magnolia Bakery cupcakes for the first time. Let’s just say I took a little time to thank Jesus after eating one. That good.
It was a quick trip, but it was soooo nice to check in with some blogging friends. Of course, I can’t thank HomeGoods enough for providing us with the opportunity. The whole trip was top-notch!
