I can’t help myself. As soon as I typed that title, I thought of this–
Well, if it is me you’ve been looking for, I’ve been around. I’ve been watching a LOT of these guys.
And because my husband seems to think that he must attend every playoff game (three hours away, mind you), I’ve been single mom’ing it quite a bit lately. They are tied up in the top of the 10th as of this moment, and I can barely compose the right words for this post. We’re fans.
In other news, I am dangerously close to having this room done. I don’t know how to do that. Do I wait until everything’s finished and reveal all at once? Do I reveal in stages? It hurts my head. I’ll just wait until it’s done. So…there.
Oh. And I also made this. But it’s 1/4 inch away from being finished. Exciting reveal, eh?
Well, bare with me. Stuff’s coming along. Just slower than it did from June to August. It is now tied at the top of the 11th, and I think I might pass out from this stress. I’m gonna go. And pass out.
Carli says
Cute post . . . I am so with you on revealing rooms, I think I stress myself out soooo much that I get discouraged and never end up revealing, lol-it’s a process. Well anyway, I look forward to seeing your results! 😉

The game is really stressing me out too…which is why I am on the computer. I need some sort of distraction to get me through!
Chris says
Same here! I mute the tv and get on the computer. The noise of the crowd stresses me out beyond belief. And…we just lost. We’re falling apart!
Hannah says
First of all, I must say that I love your blog. Second of all, I’m watching the game as well and I’m definitely pulling for the RANGERS seeing as how I’m a Texan! And yup they just scored from a homerun 🙂
Chris says
We just lost. I’m crushed. 🙁
Hannah says
I’m sorry for your loss but I know my hubs is happy tonight!
Michelle says
We’ve been glued to the tv. Cruz can suck it, seriously.
Katie says
Doesn’t matter who wins the division series, the Cardinals are going to win the World Series.

I totally pinned that first picture of Lionel Richie a few months ago and it still makes me laugh. Also cheering for the Tigers, gotta stick with my home state teams, even if I don’t live there anymore. Excited to see what you’re working on! Hope you have a great night, even though the Tigers lost.
dayle says
Sorry your Tigers lost tonight. We were at Tiger Stadium last summer and I even bought a Detroit baseball cap. 🙂 However, I must tell you we’re from Texas, so we are pulling for our Rangers, and they pulled it out, but who knows how it will all end. Truth be told, we are true Houston Astro fans, being we’re from Houston, but they had a horrible year. The Man and I are huge baseball fans, and these playoff games have been quite exciting, haven’t they?

Yay! It’s not just me. I have not figured that out either. Post a million picks and a long winded post to explain what I did… or little teasers with pics as I go? Then, next thing I know, I have went a week without posting, even though I have been doing lots. Guess I’ll figure it out as I go.
Whatever you decide. We’ll be here to read it =) Shannon

I love this post. I seriously struggle with how to reveal a room on the blog ALL the time. I’m redoing my family room right now and I keep thinking, do I reveal little projects as they are completed or do I wait and do one big reveal and then back track with turtorials?! If you have any advice, I’m all ears 🙂 I can’t wait to see your finished room, the stain on the wood wall looks amazing! The anticipation is building…
tracey says
devastating loss. Hope your hubby dress warm yesterday and today. Burrrrrrr
Chris says
I’m still not over it. Just when you think it’s locked up. 🙁 Verlander has GOT to pull it out for us today! Keep the faith! 🙂
Jeanette says
I know the feeling! I can hardly stand the stress of these baseball games anymore! This series is just about killing me and although it’s not over till it’s over….it does not look good for our Tigers!
Sarah says
Wha!!!??? Your husband has been going to the Tigers playoff games? Lucky! I only live like 45 min away & I haven’t gone to any 🙁 Too expensive. Your husband is lucky! Have you gone to any as well? I didn’t know you were a Michigan girl 🙂
silvia says
…Go Lions!!!!
Your neighbor from across the bridge:)..

That was a long game. I’m a Dallas gal so the Rangers are my team but truth be told I’m a football gal and I kept falling asleep during that game last night. Since my Cowboys seem to be in a permanent slump I’ve tried to get into the baseball playoffs. Can’t wait to see that wreath!
Kristen @ More Than Mulberries says
I know what you mean! I’ve been wanting to flaunt to the world my new laundry room but I can’t find a valance for it and it’s still needing a faucet. Do I wait? What to do!?! The wall in your sons room is looking AMAZING!! Can’t wait to see that one! I did finally reveal my laundry closet turned mud room this week…so glad THAT project is done!
Regina says
I have been a long time reader of your blog! I am not sure I have ever commented but I had to on this! I am from Arlington (Texas) and we have been to all of the playoff games as well, and now hopefully the WORLD SERIES!! Guess we will find out soon enough. Go Rangers!!
I LOVE what you are doing to your son’s room by the way…it looks amazing!!
Erin @ How to Nest for Less says
I live in St. Louis and the Cards are up on the Brewers 2-1 in the series. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! I posted last week that readers must bare with me and my lack of posts in October. I live in a baseball town, but wouldn’t have it any other way!
ella says
Just chiming in from TEXAS…. GO RANGERS!!!!
Sorry. Couldn’t resist.
Vivian says
My singleness comes when it’s basketball season so I hear you! I know about that HELLO… so funny! 🙂
Kayla says
Ok…I can’t wait to see that wall!! Is it pallets or regular slabs of wood?? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see!! 😉
Kristel says
Liking the wood color…hmmm..can only wonder. Oh, by the way, only because my son LOVES them…..GO RANGERS!
Lynda says
Those games are killing me….Come on already Tigers.
My Braves didn’t make the playoffs (boo!) so I’m pulling for the Tigers. I’m a Georgia through and through but for some reason we were also Detroit growing up, don’t know why just how it was and it has stuck.
At least the Lions are winning….Matthew (go Dawgs..teehee) and Megatron are a match made in heaven!
Jess says
I’m a Michigan girl transplanted to Dallas…and I am still rooting for my Tiger’s!!!
Kim from Vitamin C says
I am with you on the Tigers, but I think I am developing a fan ulcer. It has been really stressful, hahahaha! I cannot imagine what it has been like for the Tigers.
Chris says
I actually couldn’t watch yesterday’s game. My fan ulcer had had enough! 🙂 Too much!
cassie {hi sugarplum} says
It’s okay — hubby will be back after tomorrow since the Rangers are going to wrap it up! 😉
Barbara Grooms says
You are tooooo funny, please don’t pass out. Over baseball no less??? and why do you torture me with Jackson’s room reveal? I can hardly wait. Looking reallllly good though. Nice job. Can’t wait to see the finish.
Love ya Mom
Kris says
I love your blog. We just became big Tiger fans this year. Not because they got so far in the playoffs but because my son was drafted by the Tigers in June!!! He played in their rookie league this summer and got moved to the high A team at the end of the season. He goes to school at Western Michigan but we live in Indiana. So we are not too far from you. Anyway, it is just cool to see other Tiger fans! (sorry about being so braggy but I am soooo proud!) Kris
Chris says
That is so awesome, Kris! BRAG away! I know I would. What’s your son’s name? Could we watch for him? I can say, “I knew him when.” Well…not really, but you know what I mean. 🙂 That’s such cool news!
Amanda Kuzak says
Love love love that song, where did you find the “Hello” poster? Last weekend was tough for me with the Tigers, Lions, and Michigan loss, hoping you are staying strong through it! Ha!
Chris says
Oh my gosh. Isn’t that the truth? What a tough loss for all teams. 🙁 I found it on Pinterest!
Kris says
Thanks Chris! His name is Eric Heckaman and he is a pitcher. Someday I hope he will make it to the major league, but it is a tough road. The more people rooting for him the better, I think. So then you can say you knew him when!
Chris says
Thanks so much, Kris! Tell him we’re rooting for him! And we want free tickets. And a signed bat. 🙂 Jk Thanks, though!
