Halloween Decor

by Chris on October 5, 2009

I got a message from someone the other day who said, “I can’t wait to see what you do for Halloween this year!”  Uh…wha??  I immediately panicked! I have to do new stuff every year?  Surely not, right?

I’m sure my lovely messenger didn’t mean to give me nightmares about it, but I did have to breathe into a paper bag for a minute.  So…I give you some Halloween decor.

Some things remain the same…

spooky mantel

Halloween decor

glitter boo

Some things got added…

skulls in jar

Halloween vignette

And some things I completely forgot I even had…

orange and black Halloween

If you can’t tell, I kind of like decorating for Halloween.  I’ve got a bit more to show, I guess.  However, it’s “newness” is questionable. :)

I love your decorations! I can't find some of mine and I have no idea where the container is. Does this mean I get to buy more stuff?

Paula October 5, 2009 at 2:37 am

So cute! I dug out a bunch of my decorations today when I cleaned my kitchen. I had forgotten about most of them. Your skull display is really inspired :)

I love all of your Halloween decor. Since we will be starting our Kitchen remodel right around Halloween I won't be able to decorate much for it but I'll live vigorously through you…lol
I have a question for you. I've noticed you kitchen faucet in one of your photos. Do you like that faucet? It is the last item I have to decide on for our Kitchen and I'd greatly appreciate your feedback.
Have a great day,
Tam

Love it all. I polka dotted a pumpkin too and I think it's darling! I wanted to do them all!

Lisa@Pickles and Cheese October 5, 2009 at 12:31 pm

Really cute things and if you put them in a different spot than you did last year everybody thinks they are new anyway!

Shannon October 5, 2009 at 2:09 pm

I love looking at your seasonal pictures even if some are the same. :)

Tammy October 5, 2009 at 2:57 pm

I love your decorations new or old, it is the first time I have seen them. I love getting out my Fall decor every year. It is like getting my Christmas ornaments out and seeing all the cool ones I had forgotten about. TFS

Jen October 5, 2009 at 3:20 pm

Well I'm glad you showed it all – I hadn't fallen into the world of bloggers yet so it's all new to me :) Love it all!

Lisa in Indiana October 5, 2009 at 6:24 pm

Can't believe this… I just put the "EEK" frame in the goodwill pile… Guess, I'll have to reclaim it and jazz it up! Another project – but oh so cute, especially for the little readers in the house!

BTW, is that green paint on your wall in the mantel photo or the beiges you told me about previously??? If Green, would love the name of that one!

Kristen October 5, 2009 at 6:51 pm

Terrific – my computer is dead and I hope you can read this. Thanks for featuring Natalie and I'm off to HL to try and out do your Halloweenishness. :)

It looks fabulous. I'm loving that clock by the sink. So cute. (And NO! You don't have to do something new every year. I hope it wasn't me who said that to you. :)

M.L. @ The House of Whimsy October 5, 2009 at 8:31 pm

Ooh, how could a year have passed since we all did this last year? Seeing some of your familiar things made me happy with memories of when we were all getting started last year.
Everything looks delightful!! Also, the hand sanitizers decorated up for the season, are ADORABLE!! : )

Love it! I cannot believe you made ghoulish look so good!

I am loving the EEK frame. I am feeling inspired to make some from old frames and scrapbook paper. Did you make yours? They rock!

:)

Love all your Halloween decor! You are such a fun blogger! I recently found your blog and LOVE all your organizing and creative posts! Thanks for sharing!

Debbie @ ribbonwoodcottage.blogspot.com October 6, 2009 at 3:34 pm

Newness does not matter. I have reposted a few things over this last year and there were so many new bloggers I couldn't believe it! So I think re doing a post or redoing your Halloween is fine….I know I always enjoy how you mix things up, or post your pictures! I will not complain one bit!!!!
Blessings,
Debbie

Hammer October 6, 2009 at 8:11 pm

I love the bloodsuckers picture. Did you make that? Where did you get it?

Susie from Bienvenue October 6, 2009 at 9:43 pm

It's not old…it just makes us feel right at home when we see something from last year…Kind of like a tradition in blogville. Im having a few redo's myself this year. When it's good why change it …..right~

connie October 6, 2009 at 10:22 pm

Too Cute. I love "your" spin on all the decorations. I'd love to copy you skulls in the jars display, I have the perfect place for it on the counter behind my kitchen sink…can I ask where you got your skulls, I think I have some vases that will work.

Natalie October 7, 2009 at 4:40 am
