Well hello, I Heart Naptime readers! I’m Chris from Just a Girl, and I’m thrilled to be here today. What’s even more thrilling? The holidays are upon us. I’m not one to rush things, but I sure do enjoy all things Christmas. Sooooo I thought I’d share with you a super easy, super cheap decoration for anywhere in your home!
The material list is simple–
- Paper mache cones from Michaels for less than $5.00
- Mod Podge
- Glitter
- Pillow stuffing
- Small strand of lights
- Dollar store ornaments
- Tray/bowl to hold it
These paper mache cones are one of my favorite finds, and I obsessively pick them up whenever I’m shopping. The flexibility and the cost are awesome! I coated each one with some Mod Podge and sprinkled some white glitter all over them. I used Martha Stewart, but I imagine any kind will work.
I lined a tray I had with a small strand of white lights, covered them with some pillow stuffing (fancy), and some pretty ornaments I found at the dollar store. Done!
I wish the photographs could pick up on just how sparkly they are, ‘cause they are so festive with all that shine!
It cost me less than $10.00, and it took me less than 20 minutes to make. I you’re like me and always looking for inexpensive and quick decorations, than this is just for you, eh?
Thanks to Jamielyn for the invitation, and I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday season!
