Poor champagne. It’s such a good drink, but it just doesn’t get the street cred it deserves. Having a New Year’s Eve party? You serve champagne. But watching a football game with friends? Probably not champagne. See what I’m saying? We don’t see it as the diverse drink that it is!
I chose some Andre Champagne at the store the other day, and I thought I would implement it into a casual party of watching football and visiting with friends. Let me tell you. It wasn’t difficult at all!
We had our usual casual food, but I had a separate champagne area set up in the dining room. With some fruit, cheese, bread, and crackers, it provided a “light touch” to the usual heavy menu at a football party. Our guests ate it up!
It doesn’t have to be fancy to be good, and it doesn’t have to be fancy to have champagne. The guests gobbled up the “lighter” menu, and they liked the sweet drinks to go along with it. My store had so many choices such as Andre Brut, Extra Dry, Spumante (my favorite), Blush, and more! It’s easy to find one that’ll work best for you and/or your guests.
Some of our friends said that they want to have Champagne Football parties every weekend, so I’m guessing it was a success. What a simple, yet different way of hosting a casual get together. What d’ya think? Would you offer champagne with football? 🙂 If you come up with something great, use #EpicWithAndre to share it with others! They’d love to see what you can share with everyone!
