I’ve just found so I’m pretty new to blogging. I’ve been perfecting DIY for many years and love hardware stores (old fashioned ones). Would love to come to the Haven Conference in June 2012, but would someone unseasoned at blogging be totally lost?

Just found you! Love the site, your projects , and sense of humor! I am a real newbee to DIY and you have really helped inspire me to JUST DO IT! I have been looking for a dresser to paint. Can you tell me how much you are willing to pay for furniture at the Salvation Army? My local store has old dressers for as high as $200. YIKES! A salesman explained that after 18 days the prices are reduced to 50% and that is as far as it goes. Where do you get your old pieces?

I pay very little at Salvation Army $20 tops? I buy most of my furniture on Craigslist or other family consignment stores. Craigslist is the most successful for me, though. You get the best prices. Good luck!

I love your site. The bird bath is so cute, I can’t wait to try it. Also because of who I am, I got a real kick out of the “messy bed.” Hey, it works for you and ya know, your son is right. It does look inviting! Susie

Hi, I have just discovered your blog which is beautiful and very inspiring, I have been blogging since January 2012 and come from Southampton U.K. For my birthday this march I was lucky enough to receive a Canon Camera the same as yours, I love it and am gradually getting used to it, this is one of my better post using the camera. and this one where I made a Easter arrangement hope you like them. My biggest draw back for blogging is time, I would love less work and more time for blogging, I love it lots.

Just saw your Son’s Tween Room in BHG. LOVE IT! We are seriously considering the pallet wall. I have searched your blog site in hopes of finding the wall paint color in this room. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it? Could you help me out please? Thanks so much!
